Don't stay here............ We arrived here at 9pm, and when we walked up the door..it was already open..we settled in after searching the room but all of a sudden..the electricity cut off..lights, heater, tv. We couldn't charge our phones or use the heater let alone turn any lights on. I contacted the customer service and they proceeded to tell me that usually the electricity turns off for a short period of time, I asked how long it would be and they didn't respond..this was seconds later that I sent the second text. a few hours later we fell asleep in the dark cold room with dead phones..by the way the door barely locks and you have to slam into the door to even get it to close. very unsettling as we are two young girls traveling by ourselves. the power didn't turn on till the next morning. the only reason I have provided the two stars was because of the price and that's being generous. The price to stay here should be 1 doll hair. But Im giving grace.

The room was sufficient for 4 people and clean. The one of the biggest disappointment was no room service or no reception/help desk. When we reached at the motel around 6pm, nobody was there to help us. We called the help desk number, hotel numbers but none of the calls were answered. We got really worried esp. with kids and freezing cold weather. There is a notice written to get to the key box but not readable in the bad light. I wish the check-in experience would have better with the day long driving. Also, we can not get room supplies, coffee, sugar, towels etc as there is no room service.

The Monte Blanco Inn is an older (1940s) auto court motel with 14 rooms. The Inn, or at least my room, 14, is in need of remodeling and updating. Everything was clean, lots of towels, a real coffeemaker - with coffee in a jar! The bed was comfortable and the blanket and comforter were heavy and warm. And I could park right outside my room. But the bathroom really needs a total remodel. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough, so water leaked out on the floor. Plus, the pan in the shower, was not level and the drain was slightly elevated, so the shower would not drain completely. Multiple changes made over the year to the walls were evident. The rooms - it was a two bedroom unit - were probably designed for double beds, but now held queen beds and those beds took up most of the rooms. Again, the room needed remodeling. It was okay, but I’ll probably look for someplace else the next time I stay in Mt. Shasta.

Ticked all the boxes for me. Clean, convenient, quiet, comfortable. Different type of check-in but went well without a problem. Regular drip coffee pot was nice. Water hot with plenty of pressure (maybe too much?). Bed comfy. Priced right.
