「House was perfect for my family. Plenty of backyard to toss a ball with beautiful view of the lake. Loved the size and seating in kitchen When going to lake, avoid traveling Snyders Run Rd. it maybe a little faster but the road down is treacherous.」

「We took a group of high school students for a fly fishing trip. The property was perfect for the group. They fished on the pond, played soccer, made s’mores, and played ghost in the graveyard. We would come back!」

「Bear's Retreat was the perfect getaway spot to explore the Raystown Lake area and spend quality time with family and friends in absolutely stunning surroundings. The house itself was definitely spacious enough for a large group and was enjoyed by all, from blowing bubbles on the deck with a 5 yr-old after a day swimming with fish at Tatman's Run Beach to a 62 yr-old hustling everyone else at pool in the rec room. 「Owners very kind and accommodating, the animals are fun but our dog was a bit scared of Walter, the turkey, so Monica was sweet enough to get him from the porch a few times. Plenty of fire pits for nighttime relaxing and very close to hiking, restaurants in Huntington and activities at Rays town lake! 」

「We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed at Serendipity, a unique area in the back of the camp so we had a lot of privacy. I was skeptical of the "tabins" because not the best pictures online but was pleasantly content when we got here. They were spacious enough to accommodate and the beds were fine. It's not the cleanest, but as long as you bring a sheet and/or sleeping bag to place on top of the mattress it was quite comfortable. We swept out the tabins when we got there, hung our lanterns up and...

「This was the second time we stayed at Herons Cove and it was another great experience. The house is so nice inside but the outside setup is even better. The fire pit, outside deck and patio, and sport court were fun places to hang out with friends. Chris is a great host and made sure everything was right for our stay. We will be back again. 」
