Just a quaint old inn. We stayed in the main house in a suite which was comfortable and just fine. The gardens around the facility are lovely with many places to sit and relax. We were there on a very warm night and sitting outside with some drinks and snacks all evening was just the ticket. Breakfast is included and is a full meal and was delicious! We rode the nearby kokosing gap trail and ate at Bickerdyke Tap Room which was excellent. All in all I would do it again!

When we booked we were just looking for a little room for the night- but the property was a gem in the center of Mount Vernon. The staff was so helpful when we arrived and the breakfast was perfection (we didn’t know it came with breakfast! What a treat). We feel so lucky to have found the Mount Vernon Inn for our brief visit to Kenyon College.

Charming motel! Check-in was quick and easy, and came with a free glass of wine. The room smelled a little musky but not bad. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great location; walkable to downtown Mt, Vernon. Will definitely consider staying again when we are back in Ohio.
