Roberto is an excellent host and went out of his way to help us when transport from Naples airport failed to arrive. Roberto and his family made our stay very enjoyable and I recommend his hotel to all.

We loved the property and our room, but we loved Claudia and her family the most. They were super accommodating, attentive and helpful with everything we needed. The cleaning staff was also friendly, efficient and lovely. The breakfast was great, and it gave us an opportunity to talk to Claudia and other guests, who were also full of amazing suggestions. The attached balcony was great to let fresh air in or to hang out and listen to the sounds of the city. The location is perfect for all the Pompeii activities we did. The place is about 15 minutes on foot from the train station and Pompeii scavi, and 40 minutes on foot from downtown Pompeii (but you can take a bus to downtown too). Non vedo l'ora di tornare!

Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this is a great little hotel! The rooms are spacious, very clean and well equipped, although access to hot water (a kettle would do) for tea or coffee would be good. The service is great and a excellent breakfast for just 5 euros is unbeatable. Off street parking is accessible and very safe. Lots of good information about the area and how to get there avoiding the tourist traps.

A hidden gem for visiting Pompeii!

It was easy to locate travelling by local train and a short walk (15 mins). We were met by the owner who explained everything fully, details for breakfast the following morning and gave us ideas of where to eat etc. Great communication via WhatsApp to schedule our arrival. Breakfast the following morning was very nice with a good choice of food, make your own panini and a freshly baked croissant! Good coffee too. The room was clean and tidy, with a nice spacious ensuite shower room. Nearest supermarket we could find was approx 20 minute walk at a leisurely pace and there was a good selection of places to eat, all within decent walking distance. Only improvement we could suggest is maybe an extra pillow as we felt they were a little flat. All in all, we’d definitely recommend this place and thank you for a lovely place to rest our legs for another gruelling walk the following day 😉

Perfekt!

Villa Rocla Guest House så ved første øyekast ikke så bra ut. Skiltet og inngangspartiet var noe slitt, men innenfor var alt veldig bra. Velkomsten, informasjonen og servicen var fantastisk. Claudia var en nydelig hjelpsom vertinne! Rommet var rent og pent, aircondition fungerte perfekt, og frokosten var ok. Bakgården/hagen ga et helt annet inntrykk enn inngangspartiet og var hyggelig og velstelt. Gangavstand til Pompei og togstasjonen gjorde beliggenheten perfekt, og det var god plass til privat parkering. Anbefales!

Safe haven in a noisy city. Great value for money.

A calm oasis in a busy city. Everything you need. Excellent breakfast a bargain at 5EUR. Close to ruins. Secure carpark (I didn't use it but there's a secure electric gate with pass key). Roberto and his sister Claudia are attentive and extremely helpful if you want advice on train travel or a good place to eat. Highly recommended.

Marie met us like a mother when we arrived late. Our room was clean, comfortable and a 5 minute walk to the ruins. Breakfast was great as were the fellow guests we met. I strongly recommend this place.

Ignore the facade and enjoy the hospitality.

Pompei is a great archaeological site in a relatively unattractive area with limited accomodation near to the site. Most people come on organised coach tours and rail transport, and the area caters for mass tourism day trippers. We were en route from Amalfi to the Naples airport and decided to overnight in Pompei to get a good visit to the ruins and an early departure for the airport. Villa Rocla was chosen as it was walking distance tor the entrance to the ruins which was also the drop off point for the PINTOURS shuttle from Amalfi to Naples Airport, which by the way is the best way to travel between Amalfi to the airport at a reasonable price. The exterior of Villa Rocla is not inviting but Roberta and Maria have created a B and B providing all you require for an short stay. The rooms are basically furnished but comfortable clean and everything works. The showers were hot the bed comfortable and the breakfast was good. The fact the rooms back onto a garden means the frontal exterior is unimportant as the rooms have a pleasant outlook. Roberto was a perfect friendly host, offering good advice and was helpful. Villa Rocla is excellent value and we will go again if in the area.
