“This lovely house on the White River was perfect for our group of 8 adults to watch the eclipse and as a home base for outdoor hiking adventures. It's in a beautiful somewhat remote area (but not TOO remote) with lots of space between homes. It has great views of the river from the beautiful deck. The house itself was very comfortable and nicely decorated, with a well-stocked kitchen everything we needed, plus lots of little extras from the owners who were very responsive in all……

“Good cabin. Expected it to be slightly more removed from other people, and it ended up being in a large plot sub-division type place. No fault of the listing, just the nature of it. Nearest neighborhood had conjoining back yard maybe 90 feet away. However at this season there was little to no interaction. Cabin was well stocked for cooking on site (dishes/pots&pans). Beds slept comfortably.”

“Our group has been going annually to the White River to trout fish for at least 25 years. Your home/cabin is right on the White River and a stone's throw away from where the Buffalo River runs into the White. The area is beautiful. I was particularly happy to see the Bald Eagles...probably more so that the trout we caught. I can attest that your Reel Paradise truly is a paradise. I look forward to next year's trip...go ahead and sign me up.”

“Our family rented this home for the eclipse weekend. It was perfect. The home is huge and fit our family well so everyone had their own space. It was very clean, and we loved the 70s vibe of the home. The fire pit was great, and we enjoyed watching March Madness games in the family room downstairs. As other reviewers mentioned, there are not many serving bowls or pots if you are planning to cook for a large group. We brought a few things with us after reading the reviews, and we were great. “We visited to watch the eclipse and found the perfect spot for that, but loved the house and its location. Had hoped we could walk into town but not the easiest road. Didn't really matter. Calico Rock is a great town to visit. Great community, lovely people and shops, cafe, bar. Beautiful countryside surrounds it with good walks not far away. Just could have done with a few bits of instructions for the cooker for example, but Steven was very responsive when we messaged him. Hot tub didn't get……

“The home was in the perfect location to enjoy the river and was one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in the area. We brought our dog along, and the fenced in yard was perfect. We highly recommend Craner’s fishing guides. It was also convenient to have Walmart deliver our groceries the afternoon of check in.”
