“Very quaint, private, quiet”

“The host couple of this property were great. We truly enjoyed our weekend. The serenity of the environment was just what we were wanting. We enjoyed the fresh eggs from the resident hens doing their job well. The hosts had great input of things to do in the area. They were very accommodating as far as the check in went. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The complementary snacks were a great touch. Over all this was a great value for a get away.”

“We use VRBO in place of extended stay hotels for work. We look at clean,quiet places. This home is that!! The owners were very responsive the one time we needed them. The house has tons of room, great for large groups. Close to town yet not too close. Will use again.”

“Property is a perfect place for a getaway. House is blocks from downtown and neighborhood is absolutely charming. Great amenities and all the comforts of home. Hosts were great with communication and recommendations. Beds are super comfortable. We will absolutely love to stay there again.”

“The cabin is beautiful; made by the Amish. We were there during a snow storm; the hosts were continuously plowing and shoveling the steps for us. The landscape is gorgeous and quiet, the driftless region. We met their cows and horses. So many things to do since it's located among many small towns. Very sweet!”

The kitchen is stocked with every gadget & cookware could want. This is our 3rd stay at Prairie Hill & we will be back again next year!”

“AnnaMarie was lovely, and shared some very interesting stories! Her place is on such beautiful land with awesome views. It was far too windy and cold, but we were hoping to use the beautiful fire pit. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, some drinks, and some snacks! Such a nice touch. The place is very comfortable and nicely decorated. It was the perfect, peaceful place for a getaway for my husband, and I! Thank you, AnnaMarie!!”

“The property is very nice plenty of room for large family or big group. House was a little warm because of weather and setting on t-stat But other than the one day that we had other family stop by we didn’t get to spend much time at the house. We did get to enjoy the pool one day. The sauna was a nice hit as well The kitchen upstairs and on the lower level was very handy. All in all we would stay there again for sure if the whole family is able to travel all at once again Thank you to Hans and……

“We booked with the Little Village for a weekend getaway and when we arrived, we were surprised at the small size of the room and especially the size of the extremely small bathroom. The property was clean, the beds comfortable and the towels were plush. The small bar of soap did not serve well for two showers. Two bars were needed. It would have been nice to have access to an ice machine with ice bucket as well as a listing of local restaurants.”

“This is a very spacious home with plenty of room to spread out. We had 3 kids ranging in age from 14 to 18 months. We appreciated the fact that the downstairs bedrooms are completely separate and away from the game/TV/hot tub because the baby could sleep and not hear us enjoying the other part of the downstairs. We also enjoyed the indoor hot tub because it would have been too hot to enjoy an outdoor hot tub. Scott the owner was very helpful with pre-arrival details and check in”

“We came up for a college visit for the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Unfortunately we weren’t aware it was the first home football game of the season and all the hotels in the area were either booked or outrageously priced for the night. Stumbled upon The Little Village and it fit the bill perfectly. 35 minutes from Campus and in such a cute little town! Room was nice and clean. Simple amenities but just what you need for a quick night.”

“My husband and I were running in the badger race series this weekend. The place was perfect. The town was perfect and had everything within walking distance. I’m really sad I left my bike at home. I’d love to come back and ride the trails!”
