“After staying in Berlin and Potsdam, this was a really nice, relaxing break. It has a great B&B kind of vibe with a quiet outdoor dining area, lots of shade and easy parking. The room was perfect, with air conditioning and lots of nice amenities like a little help-yourself fridge with beers, snacks and soft drinks. Everything was clean and comfortable. The lady who owns this hotel ended up being one of the nicest people I encountered in Germany. My dinner of currywurst and pommes (fries), a……

“We loved it here! The family running this landhotel was very helpful and friendly. Located outside of Bautzen, it's a great place to be away from tourists and enjoy contact with real people. The hosts spoke some English, but everyone else we encountered generally just spoke German. It's a very relaxing location, and you'll definitely feel away from the hustle of being in a tourist site. Breakfast was very good, and the dinner we had one night was amazing. We'd love to go back here again!”

“Great location in a building dating back to the 15th Century, but impeccably maintained. Rather steep curved castle stairs, but the manager was very helpful in carrying our luggage. Breakfast was excellent as was service all around. Sherry was waiting in a decanter in the room. When a taxi was delayed picking us up at the train station, the manager (owner?) drove down, himself. First rate service all the way around. Highly recommended.”
