Loved this newly renovated property A great mix of style and comfort Perfect amount of storage in room and a beautiful bathroom and comfy bed. Biscuits and fruit in room were a nice extra something! When we arrived on Friday night at 8pm after a 5 hour drive, reception was unattended and we waited for 20 minutes until someone came back. We had no hot water on Friday night or Saturday morning without any notification from the hotel. We mentioned it to reception on Saturday morning who advised that it was a known issue and would hopefully be rectified soon. We also felt that this hotel was exceptionally overpriced and slightly misrepresented on the website. It is a very old motel that has been refurbished (sort of). We were disappointed.

The hotel is on the fringe of the town on the main road to Sydney. Room was clean and well appointed however the ensuite is very small and larger people could have difficulty getting through the bathroom doorway! Parked right outside our room. Restaurant was very good. Pubs and other dining options are only a few minutes drive away.

Overall it was nice, especially poolside. Room needed a coat of paint and some maintenance though. Also the breakfast wasn't open on a Sunday - which was disappointing. Overall nice but not sure we'd return.

Everything about the Clairefield Hotel was ideal. Thank you to all the staff. Our stay was very comfortable, we had a delicious meal at Gigi’s with our friends despite the staff’s concern over the blackout that had occurred when we arrived. The room was clean, newly refurbished, and comfortable, with everything in excellent working order. However, despite being marketed as a luxury hotel, it felt more like a newly refurbished motel and lacked expected luxury amenities such as cable TV, though it offered a basic gym. At over $850 for two nights, it was not value for money, especially many five-star hotels in Sydney are often cheaper. Had it been marketed and priced more accurately, expectations would have been different. Clean and functional, but significantly overpriced for what it offers.
