"This hotel was in a unique location. The streets are guarded by timed entry, which made it confusing to get to the parking. The hotel staff was helpful with this experience. "The room was possibly slightly small, but very clean and modern. The lake out the back was beautiful. We possibly had the best view of the lake (from room 19). The hotel is just off the motorway far enough away, and with good sound proofing, that you cannot hear the motorway at all. "

"Nice location on the beach. Room was nice, perhaps getting somewhat aged but that was reflected by the price. A bit longer walk in to Makkum itself, but doable and safe. We picked it for the water view and easy access to laundry facilities, right nearby, for the midpoint of our trip."
