"I had a very pleasant stay at Bastion Hotel Amsterdam. One of the biggest advantages was the complimentary shuttle service, which made it incredibly easy to connect to both the airport and the metro, providing quick and convenient access to Amsterdam city centre. The room was a good size, offering plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel is also decently priced compared to many other options in Amsterdam, making it great value for money. Overall, Bastion Hotel is a practical and comfortable choice for anyone looking for easy transport links, spacious rooms, and a reasonably priced stay in Amsterdam. I would happily stay here again."

"Because of poor service and being told I made a reservation at a hotel occupied by refuges, the contract terms with Marriot properties should be updated and that hotel never should have been bookale. I was then told to go to the other hotel on the property only to then be told after the hotel reservation finally appeared in theory system that I was to be sent back to the origibal hotel. I was toting bags and a dog with a bad back. Over 2 hours later I made it to my hotel room. Then roomservice took over 90 minutes when9 was informed online it would be 15 minutes. Never got to use the pool or sauna; prime reasons for going there so my back would be in better shape for travel. The overall stay was barely a star."

"I had an 18-hour layover in Amsterdam and the location of this hotel was perfect for this occasion. Spacious rooms, non-smoking, beautiful views of gardens, quiet, good gym on the top floor, sunset view from the top floor was amazing, shuttles to and from airport but they stop between midnight and 6am (I took an Uber which was great). I got to the city center and back using the shuttles to airport and taking the train from there. The city center was crowded and noisy, I’m glad I didn’t stay they and got the rest and exercise I needed before my next flight."

"The staff was kind and courteous. The lobby area and hallways were quite nice. The restaurant for dinner is only open for a few hours at night. As well the menu is small. The chicken Caesar salad is not available, the waitress informed the table next us that they had no chicken. The chefs salad has no meat in it. It’s basically a garden salad. We tried to order 10 minutes after the table beside us and were told the kitchen was closed, at 8:30 pm. Thankfully there was a restaurant down the street at a different hotel where we had a delicious dinner. The maids could do better, we found a plastic cap from a deodorant bottle on the floor, and a woman’s fake fingernail on the floor. Surely a vacuum cleaner would have picked that up."
