“Beautiful houseboat in the charming village of Monnickedam. Clean and confortable for a family of 4 - it has everything we needed. Roof deck not pictured to enjoy the sunsets, and a outside table in the front. Close to town, it's an easy walk to restaurants and maybe 20 mins to the grocery store. Easy communication with the host. One small detail, the location in the marina is different than the picture, the houseboat has close neighbourghs but it wasn't a problem. We had a great time!”

“This was an incredible end to our trip. The town is so quaint and adorable with so many friendly people. The houseboat was gorgeous, clean and beautifully decorated. The sauna was perfect since the weather was a little chill but exactly what you’d expect for the end of December. The host was very friendly and helpful. It was an amazing experience!”

“Der Aufenthalt auf dem Hausboot war sehr angenehm und erholsam. Es ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Ruhige angenehme Lage mit Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Gerne wieder. ”

“Perfect houseboat vacation. We loved the boat, ever so slightly swaying at the front of the boat, but couldn't feel it in the beds, made us at home and relaxed. Very clean and appropriately appointed for our needs of eating out or cooking in (grocery store right across the canal, a 2 minute walk). The town is lovely to walk around or bike. We happened to be in town during a June parade and loved the experience. We ate at two local restaurants that were delicious. We enjoyed the kayak and stand……

“We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building.”

“Bel hébergement, bien situé. Un petit magasin est disponible au niveau de la marina. Un autre se trouve trouve un peu plus loin dans Volendam. La péniche bouge un peu lorsqu'il y a du vent, donc il faut tout de même s'assurer que vous n'avez pas le mal de mer. La cuisine est pratique pour se faire à manger. La ville est superbe et facile d'accès à pied.”
