Lovely bright and specious apartment

Lovely bright spacious apartment in lovely quiet Xlendi, Gozo. Great destination for a walking holiday

comfotable flat in good location

Elaine's appartment was great. It was clean and tidy when we arrived and the descriptions were accurate. It was great to have access to all the books and leaflets on local walks and events. If you are planning to walk then i would recommend buyiong a map of the island as the tourist guides about walkes are very difficult to follow and are mainly a work of fiction! Xlendi haqd a great range of places to eat even at this time of year and a small shop of breakfast basics so again out of season it is a great place to stay.

Lovely apartment in great location

Had a relaxing week in this clean, bright and well equipped apartment. It was very humid and we were grateful for the 2 fans, especially at night. Air conditioning would be a real bonus. We arrived at night and it was really dark in the street, making it difficult to see to access key safe. A outside light would help. Perfect location for access to bars and restaurants.

Good spaceous apartment

The apartment itself was generally quite good with plenty of space. However, the climb of 60 stairs to get to it may not suit everyone (it did not bother us). There is a bath but if you want to use it you will find that the hot water supply is not enough to fill the bath, so you have to supplement it with other hot water. Also, there is only one parking space at the bottom of the Block, so when this is occupied you have to park in the village somewhere and walk back to the apartment... not much of a problem when we went but I would imagine it could be at the height of the season. Xlendi itself has many restaurants that are quite good but there are no shops and this is the second busiest place on the island after the capital (Victoria). The capital itself is about 3 miles away. All-in-all we found that Gozo was a bit quiet for a full holiday.

Walking around Xlendi

A bit disappointed no sea view. Seats not very comfy for us 2 over 70 s but ok for younger people. Otherwise fine

Alles, was Mann/Frau braucht, um sich wohl zu fühlen :-)

Saubere Ferienwohnung mit allem Komfort, den man sich für einen Individualurlaub wünschen kann. Ist etwas versteckt in einer ruhigen Straße gelegen, Balkon mit Vormittagssonne und Blick auf einen kleinen grünen Hang mit frei laufendem Federvieh. Superschnelle und freundliche Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin Elaine, es liegen auch viele Informationen zu den maltesischen Inseln in der Unterkunft. Xlendi ist in dieser Jahreszeit (Januar) ein ruhiger, entspannter Ort mit mehreren Restaurants direkt am Wasser, von dem man wunderbare Spaziergänge und Wanderungen an den Küsten und ins Inselinnere machen kann. Ein Bus fährt stündlich zur "Inselhaupstadt" Viktoria/Rabat, von wo man problemlos mit anderen Linien in alle Richtungen weiterreisen kann. Wir waren nur mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln unterwegs und hatten immer zeitnahe und zuverlässige Anschlüsse. Vom Flughafen Malta/Luqa bis nach Xlendi braucht man auf diese Art zwar etwa 3h, bekommt dafür aber den besten Eindruck von Land und Leuten. Autos mieten ist möglich und günstig, meiner Meinung nach aber völlig unnötig. Das eigene Fahren geht nicht viel schneller, es kann nervig voll werden und - Achtung: Linksverkehr, die Miet-Fahrzeuge haben das Steuer auf der rechten Seite. Alles in allem hatten wir eine wunderbare Woche und heben ganz klar beide Daumen: unsere Empfehlung!

Logement agréable, bien situé

Logement bien situé, propre. La propriétaire a toujours été disponible pour nous. La mer est à deux pas, des masques et tubas sont à disposition dans l’appartement Il y a de nombreux restaurants à Xlendi. Pour les courses alimentaires, une petite supérette propose les produits de premières nécessités. Pour le reste il faut se rendre à Victoria. L’arrêt de bus est à 1 min à pied de l’appartement, il y a également un loueur de voiture. Nous conseillons vraiment de se déplacer en voiture, les bus passent que toutes les heures. Nous avons passé une semaine vraiment très agréable à Xlendi.

Lovely

The apartment was great and was fully equipped, with plenty of towels, toiletries in case you ran out, pots and pans, storage, and entertainment. It is located a 2 minute walk to the sea front so is in an ideal place. Although the bird sanctuary next door was loud, it was great to see and hear the tweeting of birds, from geese to peacocks. The flats and the village is really quiet too. Lots of bars and a couple of little shops to keep you supplied. Munxar is about a 25 minute walk and Victoria around 30-40 mins. Both have shops with plenty of products for when you need to stock up. The buses are just 2 euros and are quite punctual. We rented this apartment for 2 people and it was more than big enough - easily sleep 5 and be comfortable! Great stay!

Very spacious, sunny apartment, good value for money

We spend one week over New Year in Xlendi and had a good stay at the apartment. It is very spacious and suitable for 4 people. The apartment is very close to the harbour and just a few minutes walk to the next bus stop. Unfortunately the principally quiet location is disturbed by an area with lots of geese, roosters, etc. which are very loud. But the bedrooms face the other side of the building and are quiet. We did not meet the owner but she left us a welcome package with some wine and food which was very nice. Xlendi is a very quiet town especially this time of the year with good restaurants. It's a good place for hikers and divers.

Great Apartment, Great Location

A very spacious and comfortable apartment tucked away in Xlendi Bay but a minutes stroll from the sea front and local restaurants which served very good quality food at very reasonable prices. The apartment was clean throughout and provided all you needed for a family stay and easily catered for our party of 3 adults and 2 children. Parking was no problem at all with opportunities to park within minutes of the apartment (a little tip though - dont park under the trees over night) This was the first time we had stayed on the island in February and it was much quieter than during other times of the year, which was a nice change, however as the weekend approached the area became more lively for a change of pace. We have visited Xlendi in the summer too and it can get very busy and seems to be a popular area for divers. The local shop stocked the basics needed but the bigger supermarkets are not far away - no more than 5-10 minutes by car. Will recommend this apartment to family and friends.

Great location and bright, clean apartment

We were a little disappointed that the apartment didn't have any views of the harbour (our fault, should have looked at the description more carefully) but the sun drenched balcony and quiet position, set back just a few metres from the seafront, soon made up for this. Good public transport links and plenty of places to visit with some tasty restaurants right on the seafront. Recommend Moby Dick's for delicious food and excellent service! Apartment was very clean, spacious and welcoming (especially with the much appreciated welcome pack!). No air-conditioning so relied on fans to keep cool. Not suitable for less physically able as on third floor and there is no lift. Great exercise on a daily basis but not good for trying to heave suitcases up and down. Would be nice to have a microwave as there is only a hob with no grill or oven, so eating in was rather limited. Really enjoyed our stay, owner very helpful with transport organisation, lovely to sit out on balcony and listen to the peacocks!

"Long Stay Over Christmas and New Year"

We stayed in this apartment for 5 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period and it was like a home from home. The apartment is lovely, bright and spacious. It is especially lovely in the morning when the sun is shining over the balcony and you can sit outside, looking at the view and eating your breakfast. Just a minutes walk from the waterfront and restaurants, it is an ideal place to stay. Xlendi itself is a fantastic town and having been all over Gozo now, Xlendi is in my view, the best place to stay and we would definitely stay in this apartment again.
