Value Plus!
This rental was a great value and offered a comfortable, lived in quality we really appreciated. The amenities were exceptional and the fact that toilet tissue and other things you usually bring from home were amply provided was unusual yet welcomed. The Hiawassee river was gorgeous and the constant sounds of rushing water were very relaxing. This home is close to everything with Blueridge, Helens, Gatlinburg as well as other sites only an hour or two away making for so many options. The beds were comfortable as was the furniture, ample towels were provided and overall this rental was a big hit. Try the Great Smokey Mountains Railroad while you're in the area, loved it and its only a 45 minute ride. This rental us a definite winner and we found our host very supportive and available though we didn't really nèed anything.

From 7 degrees to 70 in one week
We had a huge temperature range starting at 7 degrees and ending at 70. My daughter and I had a class at Folk School which is only 7 min away. We loved the river front, and the beautiful view from the screened front porch. The kitchen was well equipped, which was useful in that we cooked all our meals. The home stayed warm even in the very cold temperatures at the beginning of the week. The beds were very firm, so if that is an issue, you may wish to bring your own bed toppers. The king size bed on the lower level has an attached full bath with tub and shower, and there is another half bath on the main which is super convenient. The last few steps going up to the second floor are awkward so use care.

Amazing mountain retreat!
This was one of the best mini-vacations we've experienced. The owners were so communicative and every convenience was present in the cabin. The dogs especially loved that they could hang out on the front porch with us because the whole thing was screened. The fenced in area of the back was great too for potty purposes. The layout of the cabin is great with the master on the main floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. I will say the stairs are a little difficult for someone who has mobility issues so it's great to have the first floor bathroom, as well as a ramp to get through the front door (though a wheelchair user would probably need help up as it's steep). We especially enjoyed the deck over the river, the grill and firepit, and the swing and rocking chairs facing the river. The area is nice, too. It was maybe ten minutes to the Ingles, which had everything we needed, including firewood. There are hiking trails and waterfalls etc. galore only a quick drive away as long as everything the town of Murphy has to offer. (Except for groceries, though, we just stayed on property the whole time!) We loved it so much, we're returning in a few months! Even though it's a 5 hour drive, it's worth it!

Beautiful location on the river
This was such a beautiful location, and the house was very comfortable and clean. Both the screened porch on the river side and the porch on the back side were used frequently, to watch the river and then to watch the deer in the back. The fenced yard was a true bonus with our 2 dogs. It's easy to find and access, and close to both Murphy and Hayesville. It's also incredibly well stocked with paper products, laundry supplies, the works! We hope to return in the summertime to really enjoy the outdoors there! Beautiful spot, thank you for sharing your home!

Christmas on the River
We spent Christmas at the property and it was wonderful! The cabin was warm and cozy with a Christmas Tree and lights that set the tone for our holiday visit. We highly recommend Trout Rivers Inn!

Warm and comfy cabin on the river
We had a quick trip to Murphy and found this gem available for our weekend. Great place on the river, with outside decks on the river side, and on the mountain side. Clean, roomy and well appointed. Owner of the property is easy to communicate with and easily accessible if we needed anything.

Fall retreat
Beautiful property, enjoyed the view of the river and the fire pit was nice to be able to sit by on these cool nights. The house was nice and quite cozy. It was great to have all the condiments for kitchen and laundry. Washer and dryer a big plus.

Perfect house in perfect location
Enjoyed our stay so much. A wonderful place to sit on the porch and listen to the river flow by or drive a short 5 minute drive to some amazing restaurants and boutiques in Murphy. Thank you for having an amazing place available to stay with everything provided even down to dog bowls for our pup.

Life couldn't be better
This beautiful setting will make you feel right at home. Robbie was very attentive to anything we contacted him on and kept the place well stocked. I can't wait to come back next year. I will say that the beds are very firm just in case ya might have issues with it.

Awesome Get Away
We loved the location. It was nice and peaceful. Not to far from Walmart or other grocery store. Really enjoyed watching the deer. It was a great relaxing family vacation. My son-in-law enjoyed fishing. I will be back if it's available for my dates. Thank you Robby for sharing your property.

Beautiful, peaceful, private setting, but not remote, and right on the Hiawassee river! Short distance to several attractions, restaurants, WalMart, etc. House has plenty of space with 2 large porches. Kitchen has all the accessories you'll need. Two bedrooms & full bath upstairs, 1,1/2 baths with a bedroom, kitchen, dining room, living room downstairs. Large level yard with firepit & deck overlooking river. Absolutely worth every penny!

Great little get away on the water
Booked to spend a weekend with my family for my dad's 70th. Could not ask for a better spot! The cabin is quiet and you have space, and would be great to come to in the summer to get in the water. Cabin has everything you need. Owner is very nice and checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. He also got my dad a little book about NC because he knew it was his bday! I would recommend this 1000x over.

Everything you can think of was provided, paper towels, tin foil, cooking oils, etc. Screened in porch by river and fireplace were great. House was decorated for Christmas another very nice touch. Walking our dog by the river walk was very enjoyable, I highly recommend this property

Best place to relax!
Walking in the door you felt at home. Been to many cabins over the years, but this rates at the top. We love the home, but most especially the river in front. The host was most responsive and keeps a well stocked home for guests. We will return.

Great location, beautiful river
This was our 2nd time staying at this property. We love it and so do our 2 dogs were able to bring. The house itself has everything you’ll need for a relaxing stay . I feel like I’m right at home while there. We enjoyed the fire pit with friends who live nearby and loved sitting on the new deck over the river. We took a scenic drive to Franklin where the trees were spectacular in their fall colors. The location is ideal, close to grocery, Walmart and casino. Ms. Thomas is immediately responsive to any questions you may have. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us so we are able to enjoy the gorgeous Georgia/North Carolina mountains! We will be back!

Perfect family vacay
Honestly the pics didn't do justice. The place was very open and had everything we needed! Neighbors we quiet but friendly. The river access made for awesome tubing and attempts fishing for the kids. The decks made it safe for our fur babies. So many great restaurants so close. We are missing the river and smores already! Thanks for such a lovely stay. We hope to visit again soon!
