Friendly staff, great location

It's a nice small hotel just next to the beach. We found the staff friendly and helpful (especially Stanley at breakfast), our room was big, a bit tired looking but clean, mattress was quite hard though. The location was great- there were quite a few restaurants nearby which helps if you don't have a car. Breakfast was very tasty, the buffet not very elaborate but you could order something different every day. Overall I would recommend the hotel, you could see that the staff care about guests and the maintenance of the place.

Friendly hotel along the seafront outside Muscat

Really helpful staff. Be aware that rooms on the first floor are next to quite a loud bar area at the weekends. Breakfast was basic but you could ask for local specialities to be cooked at no extra cost. The health suite isn't really in use any more. Ideal location on the beach front and next to some restaurants

Noisy, Smokey, Party Resort

If you want a place to drink smoke and make a lot of noise, you will be very happy here. I left after one night because the room smelled of smoke, starting around 9pm and lasted till the morning, made me sick. There is a bar on the same floor so there was lots of people coming in and out of the hotel, there is a another bar downstairs. There is traffic horns people talking till 3am. Its a nice beach and there is a small mall with lots of food places right in the same area. There was some confusion, if I had paid already with expedia. Staff was very nice and tried to help with the smell. If you want to drink and stumble back to room to crash its perfect, if your with your family i would look somewhere else. I went to the RUWI, half the price very family friendly place.

Prisvärt litet hotell i Muskat

Ett litet och familjärt hotell med 10 rum. Utmärkt service, något slitet men de håller på att renovera delar av hotellet. Bra poolområde, lugnt och stilla. Mycket nära till en fantastisk strand. På hotellet finns både resturang och bar. I området finns många trevliga och restauranger till bra priser. Hop-on-hop-off bussen stannar i området.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist eigentlich gut eingerichtet, aber es hätte dringend eine bauliche Erneuerung nötig. Schade um die gute Lage. Das Hotel ist in diesem Zustand überteuert

Great location, quiet even with some evening dancing reunions. View on the sea, able to walk directly to the sea and swim from the hotel front. Swimming pool very nice and clean. Nice, courteous employees. Breakfast on the balcony on the shade few yards from the sea. In the evening possibility to enjoy on the balcony some drinks and beers and in the garden smoking the waterpipes. Small shopping center, rental car office, post office and restaurants at walking distance (300 meters !!)

Great stay but needs a little tlc

Place was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom was tired and could do with a little tlc. Breakfast was very basic with just fruit and omelette. Price was probably a little higher than would have expected to pay for what we got. Big bus tour stop right outside and beach perfect. Would stay there again.

Situated by the beach, near shops and restaurants hotel was tired had to ask for cups to make tea, had to find some one to serve breakfast, requires staff training to improve these things room was not ready when we arrived however we were provided with complimentary meal and drinks whilst waiting The view from bedroom was good overlooking pool, beach and sea. Consider it was overpriced for the service provided.

Nice, small 7 room hotel on beach. Adjacent restaurant and shops are convenient. Close to Muscat and Ruwi. Staff were cordial and extremely helpful and accommodating with all items. Breakfast was more than expected, omelets, nice touch. Only quirk... entrance to rooms is via the public entrance to the bars.

Probably a nice hotel circa 1970. Ate lunch in restaurant, which was actually good and very reasonable. We had no hot water in our room at any time, for which we were given a 10OMR discount.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Large gym. Hotel sits right on the beach and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The Big Bus stops in front of the hotel...nice touristy thing to do. Otherwise you need a car to drive to Old Muscat...plenty of taxis'. Hotel will schedule outings if you ask.

Wij hebben het hier prima naar onze zin gehad. Het hotel heeft op het ogenblik slechts 7 kamers, dus rustig. Het hotel heeft een zwembad met ligstoelen en een uitgang, met trap naar beneden, naar het strand. (geen prive strand ) De kamers waren keurig schoon, het personeel zeer behulpzaam. Het ontbijt wordt aan tafel geserveerd. De locatie is rustig ,maar op het plein om de hoek zijn tal van restaurants

The best thing about Al Qurum Hotel

This a small and very personable hotel and not at all expensive. It is very close to the water and had lovely views. It was also close to shops, one of them being Muscat's Handcraft Centre which was great value. But the best thing about the hotel besides it being clean and comfortable was the friendliness of the staff. They were lovely especially the helpfulness of the manager.
