"The Internet was fine, but honestly this was my least favorite of 5 hotels I stayed at over the month - and based on amenities and pictures I expected to like it the most! The room looked much more spacious on the photos. The bathroom smelled like sewage. The laundry machine was broken in my room, so I had to use the shared machine. The windows didn’t open, so I asked for a fan (the staff were super helpful). The AC - which only can be set down to 19.0c - never got down to that temp. Super frustrating for it to be cool outside and not be able to let the fresh air in. The check in process was laborious for what could be done ahead of time. The coffee machine which required payment was not working for me. I felt like everything was run by machines that had unclear directions and I kept having to ask someone for help - and that was frustrating. I wouldn’t stay here again. 3 stars because the amenities, location and staff. Easy public transit to anyplace in Helsinki."

"This was a fine stay, good location. We didn’t want to pay $19E each for breakfast so skipped that. We did early check in for $20E at 1:00 but heard them tell someone later if you wait til 2:00 they’ll let you check in early for free."

"No staff, but the check in was simple and smooth. Breakfast was fantastic, the first decaf coffee I could find during our trip!"

"The staff was courteous but mostly English speaking. Breakfast was delicious and lacked nothing for our group. The room was tired and worn out and we definitely expected more for the price. Location is very good; central, but also the rooms were quiet, never heard any noise from outside or inside. "

"The hostel is well connected for public transport - 5-15 mobs depending on which one you need. It's clean and the staff are very nice. One thing to hear in mind is that the doors are very heavy, so they slam shut alot, so definitely bring ear plugs! This was enough for me as I slept well. The only thing I didn't like is that some if my fellow travellers found it amusing to bang on the door to the room I was staying on one night and try to kick down the door of my neighbour's room on another night. Obviously this is not down to the hostel this is other travellers, but certainly not ideal. "

"Beautiful apartment right on the waterfront with great views. The neighborhood is a recently redeveloped area with restaurants and food markets nearby. Trips to old city center by car took about 15-30 minutes at most. Metro is an option but we did not use because we had a party of five adults. Overall great experiences and highly recommended. "
