Perfect for our Needs

Clean, small, well-equipped cottage with beautiful view. We had family camping at Pioneer County Park and wanted a place to stay that was close and easily accessible. This cottage worked well for me and my 79-year-old mother.

Beach was so beautiful and cottage was nice with a great separate deck near the beach for seeing amazing sunsets. We could have a fire for s’mores at night. It is a small space but outdoor areas are so amazing. Really great location - went to Michigan’s Adventure and into Muskegon and Whitehall and Montague. We would definitely go back.

Great Stay!

Clean, well stocked, and scenic property. We had a wonderful weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us, and the beach was just a short walk away. Gorgeous sunsets! We would definitely come back!

Perfect little spot

We loved everything about this little cottage. Parking was easy and it was quiet and private. The other rental was not close to the cottage. The chairs and bench provided a great place to sit and watch the lake. The shower was hot and had great water pressure. The beds were cozy. We had lots of space to store our luggage. We will definitely come back to this rental!

We loved Lake MI and enjoyed it tremendously! The cottage is cute and efficient! It would be nice if there were a few water conveniences like beach chairs and water toys for lids. No personal care items like shower wash or shampoo. No problem but just bring your own. Overall, we had a fantastic trip and would definitely come again!

Perfect Lake Michigan Setting

We really enjoyed a week on the property, with friends staying in the other cottage. The location on the lakefront is really spectacular with beautiful beaches and woods. Cottage is small but clean and well-stocked. It was adequate for a small family. We spent most of our time outside anyway!

Quiet Getaway 😌

This is a small property but the owners have made such great use of the space that it’s not missing a thing!! The location is fantastic! In the middle of the woods with lake access!!! Just perfect!😁 The small size might be an issue if you’re planning to travel with friends. But it’s perfect size for a couple or a family with small children. We definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again!

Beautiful Location

We really enjoyed our stay, this pictures were accurate, the cabin was cozy, and the directions given to locate the cabin were on point. The only drawback was it was so dark when with the porch light on it was difficult to see to get from the parking spot to the porch.

Wonderful

This property has everything you might need while vacationing. The owners were prompt in their response to a request (an oversight on my part). I stayed with my 6 year old daughter and we had plenty to do; Michigan Adventure, Lewis Adventure Farm, Grand Haven (ride the trolley), Mac Woods Dune Rides and Craig's Cruisers, and more! You'll enjoy your stay here, especially the amazing beach and morning/ evening walks down the shore.

Loved it.

Quaint little cottage steps from Lake Michigan. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Were there in the winter and when we weren't outside messing around in the snow, we were inside, cozy and warm, relaxing and watching the snow fall. Snowshoed along the beach near the cottage. Also enjoyed the Winter Sports Complex at Muskegon State Park, which is only minutes away with snowshoe and cross-country ski trails, ice skating and a luge run that is open to the public (with a little instruction.) There is also a county park within minutes as well with more trails. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This would also be a great place to stay in the summer due to its proximity to the beach and the aforementioned parks.

Cute cabin

Love the outdoor seating and the beach. Beautiful view. There was a nail head on a step that was raised about 1/2 inch and it tore my toe when climbing back up to house, but will be fine. I suggest hammering it in though. The beds were very comfortable. Water temp fluctuates but not a big deal. Would definitely come again.

Nestled Gem!

We had a wonderful time at this tiny house! The home is well built allowing for space for people that is private even for our family of five. The outdoor space adds a lot to this rental. The deck with large picnic table, firepit with chairs, the woods to one side and the beach to the other kept us outside a great deal. The house feels nestled into the little glen and is very private. The beach was truly spectacular - easy to get to, great sand, clean water, and few people. The area is surrounded by woods with the Muskegon State Park and Pioneer Park down the road. We were so content at the little house and beach that we only managed to leave a couple of times. We would highly recommend the Adventure Park at the Muskegon State Park. We would definitely stay here again!

A perfect Michigan vacation spot!

We had such a great time visiting this cottage. It is adorable and a very good example of maximizing a small space. We had a lot of bags and there was plenty of room for everything. It's obvious a lot of the old reviews are not valid anymore. The shower was super hot and had great water pressure. The beds were comfortable. We did bring a few of our own towels for the beach and one extra for the bathroom because I like to use a lot of towels. There was plenty of tp. The beach was stunning, and the chairs and bench made it easy to enjoy the view for hours. There is nothing better than your own slice of Lake Michigan! When I booked this rental my only real concern was the other rental on the property, but it is so far away we could not hear the people and only saw them briefly. The cottage is very private and quiet. I loved being in the trees. It reminded me of Michigan Summer vacations when I was young with my family. I know we will come back!

The property was nice. Not sure how this is a "new build" walking in the door or smells old and musty. Cute house and the way it was decorated. But there was cobb webs on all the lights on the ceilings, bugs and dirt in the floor corners. There was even mushrooms growing out of the floor in the bathroom next to the tub! No hot water in the shower! Unless you turn in the hot water in the bathroom sink AND the hot water in the shower at the same time

Great cottage

The cottage is updated, clean and with basic necessities. The location is perfect and steps to the stairway leading to the beach. The beach is beautiful and secluded with minimal foot traffic. Perfect place to get away. Highly recommended. The only issue that would immensely improve guest stays are the beds. Another reviewer already mentioned this and although the mattresses are new, they are the box spring type. If you are sleeping alone on the bed it’s probably fine. However, whenever 2 people are sleeping, because of the small box spring mattress (full sized), any movement disrupts the other person. If the mattresses were upgraded to memory foam the small size would likely be less of an issue. If I could’ve taken off half a star for this, I would have. We would love to return to this cottage next year but are considering looking elsewhere only because of the mattresses.

Beautiful cottage

They stay was amazing. The cottage had everything we needed (including spices). Our only complaint was that the stairs leading to the beach was over grown but the owner talked with us and they just recently purchased the property. They were hiring a person to come care for the property. We will definitely be booking again and have recommended to several friends.
