Shelly was amazing. The house was beautiful. Quiet, comfortable bed, clean room, and delicious breakfast. The location is in walking distance from the boardwalk and downtown area. Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be back in the future.

This was my first time visiting Grand Haven. Boyden House was conveniently located to a number of restaurants and the downtown area, However, the beach was at least a 30-35 minute walk--not the 18 minute as advertised. My room was nicely furnished and clean with updates and a minor repair pending. The bed was very comfortable. In addition to the morning breakfast, a shared kitchen with fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea/bottled water/cocoa/and popcorn was available The area was quiet and there was off street parking. It was a pleasant stay.

We were greeted by the host at the front door. B&B is beautiful. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good. Grounds were well manicured. We will be booking a stay there again next year.

This is our absolute favorite B&B! The house is gorgeous! It is peaceful and quiet! The porches and patio are beautifully landscaped. Shelly is absolutely wonderful!

I was traveling through Grand Haven and chose The Boyden house as my overnight stay. This B&B has a lot of local history, is walking distance to downtown activities and convenient to access roads. Clean, kind, quiet, scenic. I will return when I get back to Grand Haven.

Hidden Grand Haven Gem!

It was a great stay with an exceptionally customer service host, Shelly. She was very welcoming and clearly takes great pride in her management of this historic (built in 1872!) B&B. The grounds are immaculate and there are great places to just sit and relax. And her breakfast was superb! Homemade quiche (which I wasn’t a real fan of before this!), delicious fresh strawberries, and great coffee!

GORGEOUS, WELL-KEPT & WELL-RUN. SUPERIOR STAY!

I have a heavy background in architecture, restoration and historic preservation, plus I lived in Europe...and this is one of the best places I've ever stayed. It's absolutely gorgeous and super clean with plenty of places to relax and enjoy this historic property. The house was very quiet at night for a good nights sleep. The innkeeper is wonderful and makes your stay superior. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I can't wait to return : )

Quaint bed and breakfast!

Our stay was great! Centrally located to the downtown area, walking distance to most! The beach is a little further but not too far! The beds were decent, and everything was clean! Keep in mind this house is a historic house and does come with its share of creaks and old decor. Shelly the host was very welcoming and helpful. All in all I would absolutely stay there again.

Beautiful home and property! We stayed in the Safari Room...the entrance is through the library on the second floor. The bathroom is narrow but not a problem. We were able to enjoy breakfast outside...choice of porches and seating..there is also two dining rooms inside. The breakfast food was tasty...the food is brought to you...no choices, no coffee cakes, no buffet. Coffee is put out at 8am but there is another coffee station upstairs that is always available. Shelly, the hostess-manager, was very informative and helpful. In the evening you can sit outside and watch the neighborhood wildlife (a family of deer) come by for a brief visit! You can easily walk to everything...shopping, restaurants, beach, pier, art fairs, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much.
