I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. As they mention, this is not a resort. If you are looking for fancy accommodations, this is not the place to stay. If you're looking foe somethong modest, this is a great place to stay. The staff if very friendly and the food is really good.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Nabua Lodge. The family that owns and manages the property is a wonderful host.

This was our second visit to Nabua and we feel and are greeted like family. The food is great and so is the service. It’s a great family location. The only downside was the wind. Our next visit will be a month or more earlier.
My stay here at Nabua Lodge was nothing short of spectacular. The staff are such lovely and warm people, and the food was incredible. The location is just breathtaking; right in the perfect spot for the Blue Lagoon and other hidden beaches within kayaking distance. I would stay here in a heartbeat.
This family run lodge is perfect for people who want a quiet tropical getaway. The accommodation is basic but comfortable. We had a smaller bure on the beach, which was perfect for the two of us for 8 nights. The hammocks are great for lounging. The food was very good and the communal eating is very social. You can hike or take a boat around to Oarsmans or Blue Lagoon for a massage, lunch and great snorkelling. There is also coral to the west of the small island for snorkelling.
This property is a hidden gem! It was such a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for relaxation. Amazing snorkeling right out in front of the resort! The staff were absolutely wonderful. The grounds were immaculate and the bures were extremely clean. We liked the dining atmosphere and the food that was prepared. Would definitely stay again!
We loved our stay here. Staff were super friendly, accommodation was lovely- not flash but perfect for what we needed and super clean. Food was great- and so lovely to eat with other guests. Good sunset view walk, local super friendly cafe and village worth a visit. Loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat .
Amazing family run business. The meals were delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Free snorkeling gear and kayaks.
The property was very quiet and a great way to recharge and start my trip in Fiji!
The bungalows have a bit of an older charm, and while the owners may not be as attentive as in some other homestays and resorts, they are very friendly. A real highlight is the flexible meal plan — you only pay for what you actually order, and if you skip a meal, you pay less. I would warmly recommend this place to anyone seeking peace and relaxation, as long as they are not expecting luxury.
We had an amazing 5 day stay at Nabua Lodge. There was exactly the right amount of activites to make or stay a great balance of relaxing and exploring. Food portions were just right for me - and there was usually a bit extra if you asked. My only comment of warning is if you have long hair, you will be in the shower for a while rinsing it. The pressure is low - but the water is hot! I would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Sai and team

Large bure. Good food. Love the honesty system for the bar and that you can chose to skip meals (very rare with all the meal plans in the yasawas). Could ask for boiling water (for tea/coffee) at any time. Warm shower. Didnt have a mini fridge which i think was advertised? Trip to caves was awesome. Staff not as outwardly friendly as some other places we stayed in Fiji but helpful when asked. Cafe down the beach had great cake. Lovely clean beach. Snorkeling off the beach on the far side of the island was good.

A lovely, family-run place with warm hospitality and a beautiful beach full of coral — great for snorkelling. The rooms are quite hot, and while a fan is provided, it doesn’t cool things down much. There wasn’t any hot water during our stay, but it wasn’t a major issue in the heat. Meals are simple with no menu — you’re served what’s prepared. One thing to be aware of: only food can be paid for by card; activities are cash-only, despite what our booking agent said. A peaceful spot, but quite basic overall.
I was in desperate need for a break from people. This tiny resort was just right. The staff were so wonderful. Lucy was amazing! I felt like i was home. Just note. The caving is strictly CASH. NOT CASH /DEBIT card- yes somehow i forgot. I left refreshed. Thank you wonderful people!
On my arrival the owner was not even friendly but rather aggressiv. His wife as well. No klue why...The food was disgusting, I had almost thrown up. There was only one meal available...Accomodation was great! Beach o.k.
Overall, I would give them 4.5 stars (but Hotels.com forces integers!). The only thing to keep in mind when visiting Nabua Lodge is that they find it a bit hard to keep track of allergen information - my wife has a gluten allergy and we had to keep reminding them of this. In addition, they didn't have our allergy information despite having sent them this information with our booking. However, this was the only negative about Nabua Lodge. Everything else was fantastic. The staff were super nice and the food was simple, but delicious. The burres are basic, but quite comfortable and spacious. They even had free wifi in the common eating area (in the main burre). There was spectacular coral and snorkeling a short swim away, and there is the option to hike over to the Blue Lagoon for more snorkeling. There were free kayaks that we could use anytime. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would definitely visit again.
This is a small resort owned and run by Fijian family. It's very authentic, quiet and has beautiful settings. However it's not a "western style type resort." This is kinda like glamping with meals cooked for you. All you do is relax and enjoy the scenery :-)
The bures are spacious and built in traditional Fijian style, including bathroom. Simple but practical. Minifridge was an unexpected bonus. We didn't find any insect throughout our 4 night stay. Our neighbours though had a cockroach and some spiders visited them. But that's expected even in higher end places in this tropical environment.
Food was delicious and so well presented. They collect rain water which is safe to drink (we were fine but for our kid we treated it with tablets or bought bottled water).
Free wifi by the main building.
The trip to Blue Lagoon was a highlight. Best snorkelling spot, so many fish! ($40fjd)
The trip to the caves is worth doing too. It's about 40 min boat ride one way and it can get bumpy. ($125 fjd)
We really enjoyed our stay at Nabua Lodge. We will definitely be back!

This Lodge was the perfect fit for us in the quieter months
If you are seeking a Fijian family run good value accommodation with tidy welcoming simple bures the Nabua Lodge would be ideal. The grounds are immaculate and the facilities well cared for.
The big bonus was the quality of the meals. The fresh fish was exquisite and the mangoes pineapple and papaya outstanding and the home cooked meals overall were very good.
The staff were attentive caring and very friendly
Ideal for us we would happily come back.
The property surroundings are beautiful. The facilities could use some upgrading. A bit more variety at breakfast would be nice but Tom’s fresh baked bread is out of this world!!

Very basic and rustic family run business. Most meals are prepared by the cook and delicious. Rooms are ok, the power usually goes out after a storm and resets by the morning. Beds are not that comfortable. None of the rooms have keys for the locks so you can only lock it at night at bedtime.
