Best Vacation Ever!

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and planned this trip with friends pre-covid. We were so worried we wouldn't be able to do it. We all got tested, and headed down for the most amazing week! The house is absolutely beautiful--the photos don't do it justice. And each bedroom has it's own bath, which is great! We paid extra to keep the heated pool open and the hot tub, and it was worth every penny. The kitchen has so pots, pans, utensils, etc., we didn't have to buy a single thing, and we cooked every day. Overall, I cannot recommend the place enough. Thank you!!!!

October 2017 Stay

We stayed at 'satisfaction' Oct 2017 for our annual family reunion. Babies to grandparents. The house is a lovely large home and the layout is very easy and accommodating. The kitchen area was especially nice and easy to entertain a large group. However......there were many maintenance/repair issues with this house. It is in dire need of some TLC. Deck in disrepair, deck furniture even worse. Maintenance came and could not replace while we were there, so some was simply removed. Lower level slider does not lock. Upper level double doors don't both open. Numerous window shades broken or non functional. The cabana around the pool which is a great idea is in total disrepair. Pool decking is stained and needs help. The list goes on. Did we enjoy our week? YES!! But It could be so GREAT with some basic TLC which a renter expects with a home of this size and location.

September 2018 Stay

We stayed at DE21N. Each day we stayed , I filled out a maintenance report for various items . One ( non-working outdoor and indoor speakers was repeated , but never fully addressed).This House was e repeat for our group . It was a number of years ago , but time has not been kind to this house . Outdoor decks , and furniture need a total redo. The interior has a need for a “total clean up” , I.e. pop corn under furniture, dirty pots and pans , toilet and sink updates. “ Right Height” toilets would be nice . We have put in to rent this house again next year , with hopes that some of these request will happen. Ken

We had a great time, The house was beautiful it was clean. The structure itself is very well-built they spared no expense. I’ve stayed in several other houses and none were built as well as this one. Any interaction I had with the people at the rental agency was top-notch they are friendly and take care business. Great people to rent from.

Great home for large groups and great convenience

This was the only week of the year that our whole family could gather. This house accommodated all 19 without anyone feeling cramped. The living/ kitchen area was perfect for a large group. The kitchen easily worked for several cooks preparing different dishes at the same time. Although there were a few things that needed attention, overall it was a great home and we enjoyed our off season time there

Beautiful home. We like to entertain during our beach week and the kitchen actually had everything to accommodate us while cooking for a crowd. The panoramic ocean views from the dining table made each meal even better. Between that and the wide beach and family-friendly pool area, we had the most relaxing trip we've ever had!

We loved staying here! The location is ideal; oceanfront and within walking distance to the grocery and everything we needed throughout the week. The private beach was the perfect spot to keep an eye on the younger kids - when they weren't loving the baby pool! Will come back next year!

March 2017 Stay

My extended family stayed in this home and had a great week. The home has an elevator - which was necessary for my grandfather, but also super useful when bringing in luggage and groceries. Everyone's favorite place to lounge was down in the kiddie pool or out on the private beach. It was nice to not have to fight for a spot on the sand or in the parking lots every morning.

September 2016 Stay

My family and friends have been vacationing in OBX for the last 21 years. This location was ideal, but the property needs better maintenance. Upon arriving, the decks and pool patios were covered with sand. The main and children’s pools were visibly sandy as well. I submitted a clean-up request and was told the pool would be cleaned during the mid-week chemical test, but that didn’t occur. The home A/V systems did not operate correctly and need repairs. The main gathering room A/V receiver was damaged and a replacement could not be acquired in time. There was no music on the 3rd or 2nd floor. The main gathering room TV wasn’t functioning due to the damaged A/V receiver. The Village Realty delivered a temporary TV two days after we arrived. Not ideal. Also the speakers around the pool were not functioning, a known issue according to Village Realty that is awaiting owner authorization for repair. Very disappointing considering the premium charged for this property.

August 2016 Stay

we had a great time and enjoyed out stay. I can't imagine how many hi ones you manage and I am sure it is difficult. we had service people out on Sunday and they never returned. landscaping should be added to the todo list. if you are going to allow dogs at houses, they need a place to go other than the decks. we found leftovers from the previous renters. the a-team pool and spa guys were great and fixed what they said they would, thanks for that. the property needs some tlc and cleaning up.
