The hidden village Nagygörbő is just 30 minutes north of the beautiful town of Keszthely on the shores of Lake Balaton. Escape from everyday life in this holiday home, which is in the heart of the village. This special house can sleep up to 5 people and makes an ideal base for friends or family who want to explore one of Hungary’s most picturesque regions. From vineyards to watersports; history to hiking and cycling, there is something for everyone.

Entrance to this cosy house is via a conservatory which looks out over the garden. The conservatory serves as a sitting room. Here, guests can enjoy the changing seasons in comfort. The dining area leads off the conservatory and includes a cosy corner table, with an attractive banquette. There is a separate, well-equipped, modern kitchen with a cooker hob, oven, microwave and fridge/freezer.

The spacious garden is shared with the owners, who welcome guests with Hungarian specialities.

Bedroom 1: The beautiful master bedroom has painted beamed ceilings, with a double bed and a single sofa bed, plus a flat-screen TV and wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: An airy second bedroom which has a double bed and good storage.

The stylish bathroom has a shower, basin and WC.

Location:
The village has a vibrant social life. Opposite the house there is a pub, owned by a German gentleman who entertains his guests playing tunes of cow-bells and lots of beer. Children will enjoy the village’s new playground and there are guided hiking routes so visitors can explore the woods and caves nearby.

Sümeg (12 minutes) is a charming market town, famous for its impressive castle and historical events. It makes a fascinating day out.

Hungary is known for its thermal waters, so for spa lovers: Zalaszentgróf, Kehidakustány, Hévíz which offer therapies are all close by.

Lake Balaton (30 minutes) with its beaches and watersports offers an unforgettable holiday.
The famous cycle route around the whole of Lake Balaton means that there are many places that can be explored by bike.

Budapest International Airport is 2 hours 50 minutes away by car.
