Staff were friendly and helpful to meet any of my needs.
The buffet breakfast was average but all I needed. The room was comfortable and the Hotel was in a good location for where I needed to go.
I was a good experience. The bedroom is confortable, good bed, good shower. The breakfast and dinner were tasty. The location is good (nearby market and restaurants you can safely go walking). The staff is really lovely people. The only point they should improve is the WIFI quality, it wasnt working all 5 days in the bedroom.
Lovely and comfortable hotel with staff that were very helpful, a shuttle van that was easy to arrange, and an excellent restaurant. I highly recommend it!
Nice hotel, room was nice. Maintenance issues didn't get fixed - even after 5 days. Toilet leaked. What I'd expect for a hotel here, though. A little surprised by lack of availability, repeatedly, of choices on the restaurant menu. Food was mediocre except for the steak - that was good! Good place, not exquisite, but fine.
I really liked this hotel! I only stayed for 1 night but would like to stay again if I'm in the area. As a lone female traveller I am always conscious of safety.
There is a plaza less then 1 minute where there are many food and eating options and there were also a few lively bars within a short walking distance also
There were not many street lights at night but the area was busy enough on a Friday night
There is no hotel airport free shuttle, you have to pay for it and mine never showed up! I therefore ordered an Uber and it was only about £5 to airport
Really nice decor and helpful staff

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Overall, it was an okay stay. Although you're able to hear noises from the floor above - where conferences are held and noises from the corridor as well. The breakfast is pricey compared to what is served - you only have the option to get their buffet and menu/ala carte is not available for breakfast. I have to say their restaurant menu is good though and reasonably priced as well. I feel very safe as well. The reception turned off the wifi when I wanted to book an Uber rather than using their service - not great!
The bedroom was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well.
The food was terrible.
The staff were very chatty but I did not like the fact that many were trying to see what they could get from me. In particular several wanted me to sponsor their move to Ireland where I would organise work for them.
I have been to Kenya 24 times and stayed in hotels of all standards but this stands out for the reasons already mentioned. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
Nothing unique. If there's such a thing as false advertising, this booking was it. The rooms could really use a spruce up. The linen is overdue for replacement, not sure why you call it premium? My bad, I should have paid attention to the other reviews before confirmation of booking. Plus the VIP perk (round-trip airport pick and drop) -- why offer something you intend to charge me for? I'd still have booked with or without the perk. The ping-pong between Expedia and the Monarch staff just left me feeling frustrated and used... The fact though that no one at the hotel acknowledged my booking or email inquiries until check-in/out is the reason I'm giving you a low rating. Do better, The Monarch/Expedia.
