"A Perfect Family Getaway!We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Finding a rental that comfortably accommodates a large multi-generational family can be a challenging, but this property was perfect for all ages. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with plenty of space for everyone to relax and make memories. The lake itself was stunning and crystal clean-ideal for spending quality time outdoors. On top of the fantastic setting, the host was exceptional. Communication was prompt and clear throughout our stay, and when we needed something, they were over in minutes to help out. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would love to return!"

"This was our first visit to the Chippewa Flowage. It is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to get away, relax and enjoy the water.Gina and Bruce were wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. Everything was spotless, the furniture was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and the view of the water was beautiful. They were always quick to answer any questions and we really enjoyed getting to know them during our stay.There were so many thoughtful extras too. We loved having the sup/kayaks, camp chairs and everything we needed to enjoy the outdoors, and my husband really appreciated all the fishing advice! It was also very pet friendly and our dog was completely comfortable and happy there.One of my favorite things was sitting outside in the morning with my coffee, listening to the loons, watching the chipmunks and squirrels, we even saw a bald eagle flying over! If you love fishing, kayaking, being outside or simply having a beautiful place to slow down and relax, this is such a great spot. We also loved the private dock and beach too. Hayward is about 25 mins away and we loved it too. It’s the cutest little town with great shopping, restaurants, friendly people and a Monday farmers market.We truly hated to leave and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Gina & Bruce! "

"We just completed our second stay at Bakkestua for a family vacation and—once again—Bakkestua did not disappoint! This property is just as described in the listing—clean, well-appointed and well-equipped, beautifully furnished, with a lovely lake view. A highlight for us and one of our favorite features is that the property has two (2) decks, one on each end of the cabin. Communication with the host is excellent—(Ellen) is prompt and thorough with providing information and responding to questions. We absolutely love Bakkestua and hope to return for a third visit next summer!"

"We enjoyed our family weekend at the Hygge cabin. The kitchen is well stocked for large group cooking. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the expansive yard, ping pong table, and pickleball! The location is central to lakes, restaurants, and downtown Hayward. Jacob quickly responded when we had questions. Would book here again!"
