Room 221, 2 queens beds. We checked in around 11:30pm and were greeted by very friendly staff. The small parking lot behind the hotel was full, but they provided free, ample parking right across the street. The area felt incredibly safe. Our room was clean, cold and comfortable:) the hotel is a little older but it's well maintained. The only thing I saw that needed attention was the ceiling in the bathroom. It looked like water damage, but this did not interfere with our stay at all. The free breakfast was delicious: pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, grits, yogurt, OJ, coffee etc...If our daughter decides to attend NSU we will definitely stay again.

When we booked the trip with Expedia, there was a $41.64 resort fee charge due to the hotel at check-in. We have stayed there many times before and knew this. When we arrived and checked in, the young lady was less than pleasant to work with. I felt the need to check the charges through my online banking, and I was charged 104.98. When I asked why it was 62.00 more than what was printed out on Expedia, she stated that it was for hotel amenities like WiFi, parking, buffet style breakfast. She listed off everything that was listed as free or complimentary on the website. I asked for a detailed statement of all charges and exactly what I was being charged for each item, and she refused. She said she would have the property manager call us to explain. Meanwhile, I was in touch with Expedia. The agent placed me on a brief hold, got a hold of the property manager and let them know that it was dishonest to report something as free on the listing and then charge the customer a considerable amount. The property manager told the agent that it was a glitch in their system and that’s why I was overcharged and they would refund me the difference of 62.00 by the morning. Which they did. However at checkout, I was reminded again that the charge was due to amenities, so think about that for future bookings. This was such a lovely place to stay, but we will never stay here again.

Room was dirty. Upon arrival my room door was propped open and reeked of paint. The shower floor had just been painted and still had paint tape and paper up. Staff was not super welcoming but kind of warmed up after chatting for a few minutes. They gave no heads up about the room being freshly painted and acted like I hit the jackpot with the low rate I got. I quickly realized why it was so cheap. Will not stay here again.

The room is very big, and clean. Bathroom has a shower only, but spacious. The only thing is that there is no vending machines, so you have to purchase water for $5. The location is in the middle of shops, and fine restaurants. Will definitely be booking there again

Checking in was upsetting. Said had only one room. I had ordered two rooms. It was tense for awhile. Then another employee came and said would take of it and got us another room. Loved the breakfast!! Room was good except bed had a slump to get in. Side wasn’t firm. Had a dip.
