"We had a nice large room with a bathtub which was quite nice. Geo large beds as well. However the cold water faucet did not work in our bathroom. The bathroom door also did not close and latch. The door was pretty beaten up at the bottom as well. Just needs some maintenance. I wanted to use the pool but the blaring music in the gym was a turn off for me doing that. The breakfast was ok. They said here were hot food options to get made to order but no one who waited on us even offered or told us about it. Bar restaurant food was ok."

"I cannot rate our stay at Ashville Guesthouse enough. Oliver and Hilary really made us welcome and we're very friendly, knowledgeable of local things to see and do and really wanted us to enjoy our stay. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast was cooked to order, really tasty and plentiful. There was plenty of parking and the hotel was a close to Wesport Town. Unfortunately, our hire car was faulty and had to be replaced on the morning of check out. Hilary and Oliver were so kind inviting us in for coffee, cake and a chat until our replacement car arrived. I will most definitely stay with them again when next in beautiful Mayo and would recommend it to anyone doing the same"

"The Red Door is beautiful. My three sisters & I loved it here. The home was so comfortable, beds & linens perfect. Two living room areas, and outdoor area. It’s so peaceful in the country yet you are a 10 min drive to Westport and 30 min drive to foxford or castlebar. We also went to Achill island a site not to be missed. The kitchen is fully stocked if you’re a chef and lots of books to read, games to play and DVD movies. We loved the horses in the paddock behind us and the friendly dogs in the neighbourhood that came by to visit. We had great walks in town but sadly the roads were so narrow near the red door we didn’t feel so safe to walk. However Tracy has high-vis vests if you want to walk. Tracy was wonderful to communicate with. We would love to return it was the perfect comfy, clean & beautiful home to rest after our long days travelling about."

"Really pretty hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable (signature room 311 on 3rd floor. It had a nice seating area in a turret. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. We only ate dinner in the bar not the fancy restaurant and the food was okay though a bit salty. we felt service was a bit haughty which was unexpected as everyone on our trip has been so welcoming. Maybe they just don't like Americans here as the front desk staff was dismissive on separate occasions. Even so, I would stay again."
