"I liked the location which was near the river which was a lovely walk and it led to the downtown area. It was also in an area which was close to a convenience store. As sure as we are that we have brought everything we need, there is always something forgotten. It's nice if you don't have to go all over to find something to replace what you left. I asked directions and was pleased they offered me a map which they wrote on so I would know my location and where I wanted to go. It was all good and everyone was very friendly.
I appreciated the airport shuttle as when you arrive, you have lots on your mind and after such a long trip, it can be overwhelming when you're tired. Having someone to pick me up was excellent and I appreciated it."
"Staff helpful and friendly. Some minor maintenance issues eg, flaky paint in bedroom corridors and 3 lights in our room not working. Overall, a pleasant experience with outside seating, pleasant gardens and easy access to beach. I would stay here again."
"We had a fabulous stay at The Grand. The hotel was clean and well maintained despite its size. Our double room was on the small side but comfortable, with a beautiful view of the water and contained everything we needed for our stay.
Staff were pleasant, very helpful, and check in was a breeze. The location of the hotel was perfect, opposite the water, few minute walk to the marina, village, train station and castle. There were plenty of places to eat and drink in the village, but we also enjoyed the food at the hotel and had a few drinks from the bar while sitting outdoors taking in the stunning views."
"Close to the airport, across the road from a beautiful beach, very helpful local staff, clean and comfortable room. Wifi could be better as it kept cutting in and out but we didn't need it so no worries there."
