"When we checked in, the AC was not cooling, the bathroom mirror light was not working. They could not fix either of the two issues. They did not have spare bulb for the light. They tried to work on the AC and could just get it to work with minimum cooling which was not enough for Sri Lankan weather. There wasn't a single soap or other toiletries kept in the room. Had to search for the staff to get some soap bars. We stayed for 5 days and the there was no Housekeeping even for a single day. The only saving grace was the restaurant down below. The food was good but if you opt for included breakfast, they serve you a fixed menu every morning (Two slices of toast, two fried eggs, one sausage, little salad and tea/coffe). The location is good , walking distance from the beach."

" Was a good package type destination with coaches coming in from the airport. Nothing wrong with that but we had been staying in less busy Sri Lankan hotels prior to coming. No complaints but not really us."

"Nice airport hotel tho we had to have dinner in room as no space in the restaurant. It suited us fine doing that as we had been travelling all day and were tired. Brekkie is amazing. Staff fine. Setting nice "

"Room was super clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom and shower worked well. Staff is very nice and helpful. Quiet at night after work crew is finished (remodeling underway which is noisy in the day). Excellent value - I needed a 2 night stay before a flight and was a little worried about the low price but I was very happy with my choice! "

"Overall a bad experience. There are far better hotels/stays for just a few more quids: Room condition: Degraded, dirty and with questionable stains everywhere and we witnessed ants moving pieces of food from under the bed (see photos). Cupboard couldn’t close properly and pops open midnight. Windows had strong watermarks so you can’t really enjoy the view. Service: The manager look-a-like gives zero respect to customers, abruptly stopping people mid sentence to say whatever he needs to say. The staff is very cheeky, asking for more tips rudely (literally said “this is little money, more?”) even though we already tipped well above standards. Location: It locates right below the landing path of airplanes so you wouldn’t be able to catch a good night sleep here. It looks like it’s near the airport, but in reality it will take you 40mins to get to the airport, as it locates right in the middle of the strip with no bridge to cut across to the airport. Overall, it’s an utter waste of a could-be-lovely seaside cottage."
