"Silver Sands is, in practical terms, the strongest overall property on the island for value, setting, and guest experience. While Taj Exotica is often promoted as the premier option, that distinction appears tailored more to status-seekers than to travelers prioritizing authenticity, comfort, and location. From a value perspective, Silver Sands delivers exceptionally well. The setting is outstanding, the beachfront lagoon is remarkable, and the panoramic views are genuinely awe-inspiring. The location alone justifies serious consideration. Operationally, the staff performs at a high level — attentive, responsive, and consistently professional. Service quality is a clear strength. That said, the property shows craftsmanship gaps in certain construction and finish details — particularly in carpentry and masonry — where higher standards would materially elevate the resort’s overall impression. The primary weak point is the food program, which falls well below the level set by the location and service quality and deserves immediate improvement. Bottom line: exceptional setting, excellent staff, correct price point, premier location — with facility finishing and culinary execution representing the main opportunities for upgrade."

"This hotel provides a great calm place to relax. The gardens are beautiful and are well maintained. The beach is rocky but there are swings and hammocks to relax on, also you can see lots of marine life activity amongst the rocks, we spent hours there. The breakfast was excellent. A great place to stay. "

"Room was spacious and clean. The only problem was that there was no wifi in the room and mobile internet was also very weak. I had to come to reception area everytime if I have to use internet. "

"After a disastrous stay at Silver Sand Sea Princess I was dreading this stay just as much! I really missed a beat when checking in as I hadn’t paid for the room so should’ve just cut my losses and stayed elsewhere. Unsurprisingly the WiFi wasn’t working when I arrived (same as the other Silver Sand Sea Princess) yet they have WiFi to take payment! Staff on reception couldn’t care less that you can’t get online. The woman even laughed when I said all I wanted to do was send a message to my husband to let him know I was ok (travelling solo). It took for the general manager to let me log onto his personal WiFi to send the message which I appreciated- thank you. I had requested a high floor room and this is what I was allocated. Sadly I wasn’t informed I would be sharing it with pigeons ratching around in the roof all day and then when they went to bed the bats came out! Sad to say sleep was extremely deprived that night 👎 Next day I requested to move to a ground floor room which I don’t like when I’m staying alone but at least I could have a decent nights sleep. My request was accommodated and that room was much quieter. 👍 However I did decide to move to another hotel for my last night as there’s not much to do in that area and I was bored stiff. On a positive the beach was nice and relaxing, food in the restaurant was good and staff (apart from Reception) were smiley and friendly. The 3 stars are for the food, staff and accommodating my room change."
