“An absolutely delightful wee cottage! We had booked for two nights but wished we’d had longer. The cottage was extremely clean, well appointed and equipped (including dishwasher, washing machine and barbecue) - literally everything you need. You could easily stay here for a week - or more! And less than 5mins walk to the Mapua Wharf restaurants and shops etc. The cottage is tucked away among the trees but not completely without a view (it is up a slight rise) and still very light and sunny. We had four full on busy days there and it was great to be able to return in the early evening to relax and have full cooking facilities to enjoy our catch from the Anatoki Salmon Farm. “We had spent almost a week up in Abel Tasman Park at Awaroa so had been busy hiking, swimming and watching the tides. After all the running about, boat trip up and back this was a super relaxing stop for a couple of days. The view out over the river to the sea and distant mountains is fantastic and we woke up to a brilliant red sunrise. We did laundry and fed some of my breakfast croissant crumbs to the chickens.
