Lovely Historic Home
The room was spacious and very clean. The instructions given at check in were detailed and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet. We loved the furnishings throughout the house. I would stay there again.

Lovely house
The Dogwood room was comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the large bathroom with shower and claw foot tub. Comfortable sitting area downstairs as well. Easy walk to the town square with a couple of restaurants and a coffee shop.

Very nice and cozy
Very nice, clean and charming house. Walking distance to a couple restaurants but not much else to do in town. But we went to hike at Hocking Hills so it was fine. Breakfast was good. Only disappointment was the hot tub was not working. We were looking forward to that after hiking all day.

an actual time machine
i think the thing my partner and i were excited about most when arriving was how it felt like we were in a time capsule. the spiral staircase is beautiful and so are the rugs and the decorations. the clawfoot tub was cool. the bathrooms are super clean with how old fashioned the toilet and tub are.

Property was very clean and comfortable. We had a quiet stay given that we were the only guests that evening. Our breakfast was delicious and served by a warm, friendly hostess Jennifer. Only downsides....Seemed strange to check in at a remote location. Suggest that property manager trim bushes and attend to landscaping to enhance the outdoor impression of the property.

Hyde House is a beautiful place and our room was lovely but it was so ungodly hot upstairs that we couldn't sleep. There wasn't very much selection at breakfast. We were only allowed to use one towel each but there was no hand towel or paper towels provided so one of us had to use our bath towel to dry our hands.

Old time charm
Hyde House is an old "mansion" but with a fair amount of upgrades to make it a very nice place to stay for a Hocking Hills visit. We did miss the on site breakfast. That would have made it even better.

Wonderful stay!

Lovely Stay and Great Location
Enjoyed our stay at this Historic B&B we had the whole place to ourselves the first night. The location was perfect for us to go and explore the Hocking Hills area and was within walking distance to many of the main square amenities. The clawfoot tub was perfect after our 12 Mile hike and the bed was comfy.

Internet/television inadequate
Enjoyed the property, staff we interacted with and breakfast. Found the internet/television services to be sub-par. Could neither stream from any of the streaming services or view any of the live television programs. Would appear not enough internet service available for a full guest count. An upgrade in services is definitely warranted.

Great time
Room was great, initially cold but got electric fireplace going and asked for heat in house to be turned up and space heater placed in bathroom and we were good to go. Really enjoyed our stay and breakfast was great each day.

Too bad neighborhood is so rough. Nelsonville seems very depressed...Mexican Restaurant only decent place to eat in town. The house was perfect for 3 day family gathering.

No one there
A bed and breakfast which is operated by a company. Only ones in the old house. Glad I wasn’t staying there by myself. “Cook” came in to make unspectacular breakfast of scrambled eggs, biscuits, burnt sausage, cold gravy. No baked goods. Just not the little touches you’d find in any bed and breakfast I’ve stayed in before. Best part was people we met at breakfast. Bed comfortable and clean. 2nd floor room up a circular staircase. Difficult to climb if stairs an issue but listing doesn’t mention this.

The room was very nice, and the owners and staff were kind and attentive. The town has little to offer, but it is close to Hocking Hills which was our reason for visiting the area. It’s a good deal compared to cabins in Hocking Hills.

Delightful host in Nelsonville, Ohio
Book a couple of days or longer for a very comfortable stay at this location. The host cooks warm breakfast every morning. She is helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and can suggest activities for the whole day.

Sad that your beautiful house is located in nelsonville. We found the surrounding area to be sketch.
Our room was nice and clean loved the bathroom. However we did have a mouse in our room. And your breakfast cook needs to wear a hair net and pants that aren’t hanging down around his hips showing his underwear! We ate breakfast once but while eating the cook sneezed twice in kitchen and definitely didn’t cover his nose! There was very limited things to do or places to eat! And was a 35 min drive to hocking hills. Not sure why it didn’t give me the hotels in Logan as an option! Sorry was not impressed overall! Never met owner of bnb no one to greet us and show us to our room or anything!

We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B! It was larger than expected and had every amenity you could possibly need! The linens were fresh, the kitchen was stocked, the breakfast on Sunday was AMAZING! A loved the little Town ofNelsonville, the restaurants were within a 3 min walk so that was nice! Would definitely recommend and will be back again!

I would consider coming back to stay again
The guest house was quite lovely and the room very comfortable. It was a nice place to come to rest and relax. There was no bustling business district if someone wanted to shop or to have many dining options. Those activities took some travel. However the Rhapsody restaurant within walking distance was affordable, delicious, fine dining, but only open in the evening. A great surprise! The cooked breakfast on the weekend days was very good. The Hyde House staff accommodated our dietary needs wonderfully and graciously. Very pleased!
