An Unforgettable Stay at Francolin Lodge

During my recent stay at Frankolin Lodge, I was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The front desk and restaurant staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly, ensuring every detail was taken care of with warmth. The rooms were not only comfortable but also gave a home-away-from-home feeling, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast was always a highlight, with impeccable service and delicious offerings that started each day beautifully. The overall ambience of the lodge was outstanding—calm, inviting, and perfect for unwinding. A special mention goes to their restaurant, Orange, which truly deserves Michelin recognition. The food was outstanding, combining exquisite flavors with great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Frankolin Lodge to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

The guesthouse provided an excellent stay. The room was spacious and well-appointed, complete with high-quality amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night. The small kitchen and well-stocked minibar added a convenient touch to the stay. Although two of the LED lights were not functioning, the overall experience was very positive and offered great value for money. The nearby restaurant, Orange, offered an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly complemented our stay at the guesthouse. Renowned as one of the finest establishments in Mbombela, Orange impressed with its exquisite cuisine, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. Each dish was a delightful testament to culinary artistry, making our meal both memorable and satisfying. Without a doubt, Orange stands out as a culinary gem in the city, adding to the overall positive impression of our visit.

We especially enjoyed the breakfast with lovely fresh fruit. Room was spacious with a great shower. We left early so missed out on our second breakfast however the staff supplied us with a packed breakfast which was a feast!!

The bed's headboard is made out of a solid concrete. If you miss the pillow, watch your head! The child bed/crib was not set up as requested. It was left in-front of the door without a mattress. At the end of the stay staff always tries to charge you extras for things you didn't do. This has happened twice in a row. The restaurant makes delicious food - that is probably the #1 reason for visiting this lodge. The bathroom (including the toilet and the shower) are in the bedroom so there is no privacy.

Stylish hotel in great setting.

We had a very pleasant stay in this upmarket boutique hotel. The room was very well appointed and the pool area excellent. The location is on a hill overlooking Nelspruit and we dined well at the in-house restaurant on the terrace.

Nice and small hotel near Kruger Park

The hotel is near Kruger park, it is small but at the same time nice and very quiet, their rooms are wide and very clean and the staff is very efficient. Inside the hotel there is a very good restaurant.

The grounds are great and location was great. The views are also great. Breakfast is included and was wonderful. The only drawbacks are there is no bathroom door and their on-site restaurant was closed for an event. I wish I had known that. That being said, it's a great place to stay and I would recommend to all.

Une bonne adresse

Une belle adresse entre Johannesburg et le Parc Kruger. Cette étape n'était pas prévue dans notre périple mais au final c'était plutôt pas mal. On est au calme. L'hôtel dispose d'une belle vue, les chambres sont grandes et bien équipées. Le personnel est vraiment sympathique et le petit déjeuner excellent. Un avis un peu plus mitigé sur le restaurant. C'est vraiment très bon avec une vue magnifique mais c'est un peu lent quand le restaurant accueil des groupes. Il faut donc cas arriver tôt. Demander une table en terrasse même si vous n'êtes pas certain de l'avoir.
