“We checked in after a mixup with another hotel, we were staying in Halifax for my girlfriends birthday. Our room smelled really bad. The pool was not opened and we were not made aware until after our reservation. The bar was closed with no bartender the whole day. There were 2 bottles of water in the room that had a charge for "non members" like are you kidding me? “The staff were surprisingly unaware of local tours. Some handed us pamphlets, some searched Google for us, but none could provide informed recommendations. We were hoping to get insider information (not available through Google) from people who live in the area and work in the hospitality industry, but failed to do so. Room was fine though. Gym was fine. Pool was nice when it wasn't overcrowded.”
