First, some cons: As other reviews have mentioned, the stairs are VERY steep. Be very, very careful when using them, especially at nighttime if you need to use the bathroom! It feels like you are taking normal stairs two or even three at a time each step.
A few things that would have been nice to have in the kitchen: Tupperware, foil, plastic wrap, and/or plastic bags for leftovers, and spatula and different sized mixing bowls for food prep. We did miss having a dishwasher, but there was plenty of counter space to dry dishes.
There were quite a few spider nests and cobwebs on the ceiling.
The bathroom shower has a gap at the bottom, so be sure to put a towel down because water gets out! You can tell this has done some damage to the floor. The only way to keep the bathroom from steaming up is to open the window.
We wished there were more pillows to make the deep couch more comfortable. The seating felt off to the TV placement.
PROS:
The location was wonderful. Cross the rarely-trafficked road, one house, and you are at the ocean! You can even catch a view of the ocean from the top floor of the house! You can walk to the local store and restaurant in just a few minutes.
There is plenty of counter space in the kitchen, and many pans to cook with.
It was easy to adjust the thermostat and keep the space comfortable. All the appliances worked well and it was nice having the ability to do laundry.
We loved having the window open at night. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. There was plenty of shampoo and towels. Overall, a good place to stay. With a few changes, this place would be perfect!
