Vacation on the Peenestrom

The holiday rental is located on the upper floor of the Peenehuus Cafe & mehr, right on the harbour in the town of Neukalen.
Here, you’ll discover just how beautiful and relaxing a holiday in the heart of Mecklenburg can be. Nature, tranquility, and cosiness—you can enjoy all of this at the Peenehuus, right on the Peene River, the “Amazon of the North.” The holiday rental consists of a spacious (approx. 37 sqm) living and sleeping area with a kitchenette. There is also a small adjoining room in the apartment that accommodates one person. The bathroom area is located on the ground floor and is separated by gender. It is a very well-maintained shared facility; you’ll receive a key so you can use it privately.
Our holiday rental was newly renovated in October 2021 and has been comfortably and functionally furnished. The small kitchenette leaves little to be desired, as everything from a refrigerator to an induction cooktop is provided.
Our house is surrounded by a spacious harbour area that features a boat rental and a canoe station.
Boat trips on the Peene River all the way to Lake Kummerow are among the most beautiful experiences in our region.
The town of Neukalen itself has plenty to offer. In addition to numerous restaurants, there is also a sandy beach on the Peene River, a very nice playground near the accommodation, and numerous options for day trips.
The Baltic Sea is only about an hour’s drive away.
On the ground floor of the Peenehuus, there’s a café where you can relax and unwind in a beach chair right on the banks of the Peene River.
