The staff were friendly and attentive, the pool was nice, and the room was basically clean, but there was not enough toilet paper, and the toilet paper holder was broken. On my second night I ended up hardly sleeping because of the constant loud shouting from the room beside me. Around 3am I contacted the hotel staff, and I think someone eventually went around to the room to ask them to be quiet. When I brought this up to the staff in the morning, the front desk person apologized, but that was it. I figure if I pay you for a good night's sleep in your hotel and I don't get it at all (and have to spend the next day exhausted) because of something happening on your property, you ought to consider doing a little more than just saying "I'm sorry that happened." Also breakfast was almost exclusively carbs (waffles, muffins, sugary cereal, high-sugar yogurt etc.). No protein, and almost nothing one might call "healthy." I did appreciate the orange and the tea.

Room was in good condition, missing hangers to hang my jacket and shirts and the room was cold. I arrived late and someone cluld have prepped the room. Also, if youre going to charge a hold fee please stock the fridge or have wine and beer and beverages since the onsite bar dowsnt allow to bring wine or beer to the room. Disappointing. Also, pool should open at 9am not 10 when theres an 11am checkout.

we reserved a king sweep with Jacuzzi and pullout couch. I had called and spoken to the front desk and they told me they would hold that type of room when we got there. They explained that they gave them them to someone else even though the note was on my folio.. They gave us another room with two twin beds and a $20 discount. The rum had no hangers, no soap or shampoo, the shower had a chunk in it. We also went to the indoor pool. The pool area itself was nice, but there were literally no lights on and we could not find where to turn them on because it was so dark. I will never stay at this motel again.

During an off season stay, there were very few visitors and they were in the process of doing some renovations. In spite of that, everything was in working order and there were no noises or construction disturbance. The restaurant and bar at the Whaler was very popular and the food was excellent. The stir fry in particular, and then the wings special on Sunday night, just excellent!
