Fun in the Sun at the Pool House

We had a great time at this property. It was well appointed and the attention to detail with amenities was appreciated. The pool was clean and well maintained and the kids and adults alike spent hours enjoying the water. It’s also a short walk from the beach and we enjoyed a nice afternoon at the beach. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. I would’ve rated this property a 5 except there was an ant problem at the front door and in the primary bathroom. We were able to manage it with ant traps from Walmart and it didn’t otherwise negatively affect our stay. The property manager reached out to see if there were any issues they might be unaware of that needed to be addressed and we notified them of it. Based on their responsiveness to everything else, I’m confident the issue will be handled and I would stay here again. They communicated everything we needed to know about the house and the area well in advance of our stay and that made check-in and check-out seamless.

Overall Good, A Little Expensive

Overall, my husband, our 4 year old son and I enjoyed this home. It worked out really well including our son; however there were definitely some things in need of attention. - there is no tissue throughout the home- the ant problem previously shared by a former renter has persisted. It was really gross. And not for food- they were simply everywhere- including in abundance near the pool. Summer season, totally get it. But shouldn’t be able to easily come inside and seemingly without much prevention - the front door slams inconsistently - the mattresses & bed frame (primary bedroom specifically) desperately need to be replaced The great things…- location! Awesome to float between Michigan city and New Buffalo- towels galore which was needed for enjoying the pool :) - the layout was great for our kiddo to be upstairs and we could still enjoy the pool and family room - great in & out and safe neighborhoodOverall, we did enjoy our stay. But given the price and the overzealous communication, we did have higher expectations for the interior stay & home.
