“Cabin is located in a nice cabin neighborhood close to Emlenton and the Allegheny River Trail. Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. Cabin has everything you need (other than a microwave😮). We enjoyed the American Grille in Foxburg. Definitely hope to be back. Thanks for sharing your cabin!”

It was extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated with all of the extras, like a 5 star hotel. We’ll be booking this one again! The owner was perfect in communication and very kind.”

“I was amazed by The Big Brickhouse even before I entered the front door. I appreciated Norma greeting us upon arrival for a quick explanation of amenities and a tour of the massive home. The hosts thought of every detail to ensure a relaxing stay - from stocking the refrigerator with breakfast and beverages, providing bath salts beside the large soaking tub, to board games in the library. “This is a perfect little cabin apartment! You can look out to the Allegheny River from the kitchen. The pictures on the listing do not do the property justice. The hosts had the rental space all decorated for Christmas including a beautiful Christmas tree. We stayed over Christmas and it was perfect. The rental was clean and stocked with everything you need and more! We will 100% be renting from them again.”

“We were in town for a wedding. Had some down time and enjoyed being the space when we did not have wedding activities. I would stay again if I was in town and I would suggest others consider. Ryan was very nice.”

“Excellent property. Carolyn and Chuck were super nice. They gave us a brief tour of the house, which was helpful. We were able to ask how to properly use the wood burner as well as get clarification of whether we could use the wood for the outdoor fire pit. The house was extremely clean. The fridge was completely empty, to include the ice trays. This is a nice touch. It made it very clear on the expectation for our departure. “This is a unique historic mansion with plenty of room and a large open-space kitchen, where we spent most of our time. There are plenty of towels and paper products for our use, comfortable beds, and a great location. This is our second stay as vendors at the annual Franklin May Mart. I love that the house is pet-friendly and has the bonus of a fenced-in yard.”

“Comfortable, Clean property with all the conveniences located in a private area. The deck looks out towards the stream and sunshine pours through the living/dining area. Great place to relax and enjoy the property or visit the Town of Franklin, Oil Creek State Park or Two Mile Run.”

“Good, central spot to explore the parks and trails in the area. House was very clean and very comfortable. The two upstairs bedrooms are reached by a steep set of stairs (with a handrail) and have low ceilings (the eaves). Not an issue for us but might be difficult for some.”
