“The Indigo House was amazing. We enjoyed our time there with family celebrating a 60th birthday. The rooms are spacious and the separate living quarters was a bonus. Our only suggestion would be to have a king bed downstairs that is easier to get into. Thank you for an amazing stay at Indigo!”

I especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching the rain pour down, and not getting a drop on me. The back deck and yard were also very enjoyable (no swimming for us, though). The woodwork and original elements are very special, and I feel lucky to have been able to experience them. Wonderful hosts also, very accommodating. I can think of nothing they could improve on.”

“The house was perfect for a weekend at the lake! The kitchen provided ample space and resources for meal prep. The grill and fire pit were an added bonus. The beds were comfy. The location was perfect as it is only a few miles from the marina and a few miles from Monroe City. The 20 minute drive to Sweetwater Distillery is a must!”

“My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect. We had trouble finding the place but I point the blame on our GPS. Once we arrived we fell in love right away. It is secluded and private and quiet and that is exactly what we were looking for. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. Even though we did not use it, we were surprised to see wood, lighter fluid, and all the other needs for a small campfire. We have been to other places and this is usually up to the……

“Nicely furnished and very comfortable. It rained one day and it was a great place to just relax and stay inside. Had a couple issues but communication with the host was excellent and she did what she could to resolve it.”

“We went to Hannibal for a girls weekend during the Chocolate Tour. The house was perfect and in a great location. We were within walking distance of the square. Our house was supplied with all we needed. There was 5 of us and we each had our own room with plenty of space. I would highly recommend this wonderful house. “Check in was weird. I booked 2 rooms for our family of 6. I was asked for my ID, a credit card and told my room number. Only one room. When I said we had 2 rooms, I was told that they needed the ID of the other room adult, then the card again. Why? When you know that I reserved and prepaid for both rooms, in my name, with my credit card, did you not mention the other room? Just tried sending us on our way. It was just weird. One of the rooms smelled like dog. The other was a musty smell. Neither……
