Fantastic!

We had a perfect stay in Warren! The house is beautifully designed, well-appointed and has all the extras a family could want. Our hosts were highly responsive and very attentive to any questions we had, and helped us to get to the know the surrounding area better with lots of local tips. We felt like we were in a winter wonderland with all the comforts of a boutique resort.

A Wonderful Vacation!

We had a beautiful holiday vacation at the Lake of Waramaug Estate! Jenn is an amazing host. The house is exquisite and equipped with everything you need and can imagine for indoor and outdoor activities. The property and location are wonderful. We all had such an enjoyable week.

Great Lake Family Vacation

Booked a last minute vacation and decided to try a lake retreat vs our usual beach/ocean vacation prior to kids going back to college. House, views, property just spectacular only to be topped by the hospitality and great suggestions by the owners. Definitely worth every penny.

Spectacular house

We had an amazing 50th bday weekend for my husband and friends. Didn’t have to leave the property with hiking, basketball, ping pong and more right there. The bedding was luxurious and Jenn and her husband were super personable and attentive.

Pastoral Retreat

We had an amazing time here. The house is both cozy and spacious, with nice views and quiet day and night to relax and unwind. The hot tub, fireplace, and expansive lawn were great for our group and we really enjoyed walking right out the back door for an invigorating hike. Jenn was a pleasure to interact with as well. I can’t recommend highly enough!

Extraordinary

House is beautiful well kept and beautifully decorated. Loved every room full of details. All 7 adults enjoyed out stay from the pool tennis court bicycles to the kayaks we where able to enjoy . Thanks for the memories and would love to come back soon. Highly recommend .

Perfect Family Vacation

I am all about bringing my family together for a week each year to enjoy each other and some of the finer things in life. This place was great and unique. Smooth and drama free from check in until departure. We took advantage of all that the property had to offer from tennis, swimming and having fun around the pool, kayaking and paddle boating on private dock, the fire pit, the grill, and even hiking on the trails right out the back end of the property. Owners are responsive and the area is truly a fun friendly not crowded location. First class all the way.

70th Birthday Celebration

Beautiful home on a beautiful property that has so much to offer. My husband loved the easy lake access for stand up paddling and kayaking. My daughters and grandchildren loved the pool, hot tub, tennis court, tree swing and hammock on property. The grandkids enjoyed watching the deer munching on apples in the back yard. The house is spacious, bright and airy and well equipped with everything we needed. Owner was very helpful with recommendations on restaurants, shopping and neighborhood activities, including a chef who provided an amazing personalized gourmet meal for us. Special memories. Awesome vacation at spectacular lakeside spot!

What a tremendous vacation I had with my family at this wonderful property on Lake Waramaug. It far exceeded our expectations. The house itself was beautiful with an interior that was spacious, well appointed and perfect for accommodating 8 of us comfortably in various arrangements - whether entertaining, dining, enjoying the US open, playing ping pong etc. The outside space was superb with the backyard that centered around an expansive flagstone terrace with a serene pool area. The great outside features were all taken advantage of - including tennis court, lakeside dock with boating options and hiking trail access. And of course our gang always seemed to gravitate to the tree swing and hammock tucked in corner of property. Highly recommend!

Dreamy winter get away!

We stayed in this beautiful and special home after Christmas for a few days to celebrate my mom's birthday. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. We are a family of 5 and each child relished in their own room, then my parents had their own "in-law" suite on the opposite side of the home. The big and gorgeous kitchen (with a fire place) brought us altogether for the happiest of times. The location is fabulous, right next to a vineyard and the most charming spots in New Preston. We were able to join the Summit Rock hiking trail to Rock Waramaug right from the backyard of this home. Our entire family is eager to return, but for longer next time.

Country retreat to perfection

The house was spectacular. Clean, beautiful modern interior. The kitchen was a perfect central fixture for a weekend with friends. The pool, the hot tub, the tennis court, the fire pit… just at the house there was plenty to do. Then there was also awesome hiking and the dock with paddle board and kayaks… Can’t say enough nice things about this property. Thank you for a great stay.

Wonderful Stay at Lake Waramaug Estate

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Waramaug Estate for a week and end of August beginning of September, with three adult children and their Significant Others and one grandchild. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious enough for everyone. The pool and hot tub were clean and of perfect temperature, and it was an easy 3 minute walk to the paddle boards and kayaks on Lake Waramaug. Would definitely rent again. It is the perfect location, both in terms of proximity to the lake and to restaurants, stores, outdoor markets, hiking, etc., etc. And Jenn the owner was super responsive and helpful about everything. Can't say enough good things about this property.

Even better than the beautiful photos and description!

Stayed at this spectacular home as a group of 7 women, celebrating a birthday. Everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - was perfect. StayMarquis was very easy to work with and offered a variety of ways to enhance our stay. The property host/owner could not have been more responsive, kind, thorough, and considerate. As someone who myself owns a home offering short term rentals, I was blown away by all of the thoughtful touches the owners made sure to have available. It was so easy to settle in, to cooke meals, to figure everything out. The pool is lovely. The hot tub is brand new. The tennis court is such a nice addition. The house is spacious and beautifully appointed, but doesn't feel pretentious. It is comfortable and rambling, but not too big. It was spotless, with beautiful linens, and everything you might need, easily accessible. We had a private chef one night prepare a celebratory dinner and he too was blown away by the gorgeous, well-equipped kitchen. The house is not directly on the lake but a 5 minute walk to the dock. The house has kayaks but they were in the garage and too challenging for us to get to the dock to use. My understanding is that they are normally (in season) at the dock so tenants may use easily. We rented early in the season so it made sense that they weren't down by the lake as yet. The hiking in the area is absolutely wonderful. There was a great hike directly from the property, up to the spectacular Waramaug Rock, Maricostas Preserve, and the and Steep Rock Preserve. What a special treat to go on beautiful hikes directly from the property. There are plenty of lovely farmers markets, delicious fresh food stores, and great restaurants in the area. We had an especially good meal at The Hopkins Inn, 15 minutes away by foot, with a priceless view of the lake. We all agreed we would fall all over ourselves to stay here again!!!

Peaceful Haven near awesome coffee shops!

We stayed for a week at this location while our 11 year old was doing on-line school. We were all working from home and the internet service was stellar, which was a real gift , as often service can be spotty in the country. The home was lovely, clean, well appointed and comfortable. There is a brilliant hike up Pinnacle Hill right off of the backyard. We walked this hill 3 times while there as the view of the lake was beautiful and the hike invigorating. There are other nearby hikes like Bee Brook. There are also fantastic coffee places nearby- Smithy's is about a mile away, and my favorite which is a bit further in Washington CT is The Po Cafe which serves "Sun" Coffee's Dante Inferno which is perhaps the best coffee I have ever had. All around a wonderful experience in a very friendly area.
