“This place offers everything you need to enjoy a few days away. Cabin is tastefully done and well stocked. Very clean and comfortable. It’s like 20 feet from the deck to the water and great for kids. We took advantage of the kayaks and the ho tub, which kept our kids entertained while the adults enjoyed the deck and relaxing. We will be back next year hopefully.”

“We loved how private it was and had everything we needed. Being right on the pond was also a bonus. The gazebo right by the water was such a nice touch and beautiful to use either in the daytime to get away from the flies or the night time with all the lights on 😍 also very modern! They were to the minute on timing as the cleaner was there til exactly our check in at 4 and she showed back up exactly at 11:00 the next morning. Not a problem as those were the hours. “The main objective of our 15 day trip to Newfoundland was to see icebergs, puffins and several coastal villages. But we also wanted at least one night inland. Back Country Cottages fit that perfectly. A full 30 km inland on old logging roads and trails off the highway, to the cabin at a 12 km long “pond”. “The property was fantastic. We came off an ocean crossing/sailboat and the cabin was a perfect base to hike the ECT for a few days. Beds were comfy, enjoyed the selection of books and games, utilized the laundry, but the fully stocked kitchen was the absolute gem. Property is clean, quiet, private and would stay there again in a heartbeat. ”
