Whether you are in town for a wedding at Providence Cotton Mill or Catawba Farms; you've come to NC to find the perfect sofa at the famed Hickory Furniture Mart; or you are attending an event at Lenoir-Rhyne University or the Hickory Metro Convention Center; whatever brings you to the beautiful Catawba Valley, you will love settling into our Victory House to relax and unwind. Arrive home to enjoy dinner on the back deck or log into your Netflix account to stream your favorite show before bed. Slip off your shoes, whip up a quick dinner in the cozy kitchen (or order from our favorite Japanese restaurant close by!), and settle into the comfy couch after a satisfying day in small-town America. Wake up rested and refreshed and enjoy the well-stocked coffee bar as you prepare breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen or head out to one of the local cafes. Our home is near downtown Newton and only a few minutes' drive to Hickory, Conover, and Maiden via Hwy 321, I-40, and US 70. You will be thirty minutes from Lake Norman State Park; 40 minutes to South Mountain State Park (hiking, trout fishing and picnicking); 45 minutes to Charlotte (airport and shopping); less than an hour to Bank of America Stadium (home of the Charlotte Hornets) and concerts at the Coliseum; an hour to Boone/Blowing Rock ski resorts/outlet shopping; and 1.5 hours to Biltmore House in Asheville. Our home is the perfect overnight stopover on your way to just about anywhere! While this property is dog-friendly, message us with details about your pup before booking so we can make the arrangements.

This stay was perfect. Home was extremely clean, and close to anything that was needed. Plenty of hot water in showers and living room was very cozy. Would recommend the stay for anyone with a couple of kids to stay in the hickory area.

Great Hickory area getaway

The Victory House was the perfect location for us to stay while attending a wedding reception in Hickory. We had everything we could have wanted, nice kitchen, well appointed rooms and two quiet and relaxing outside sitting areas. Coffee on the shaded front porch helped us ease into busy days and the firepit in the back was a nice place to unwind at the end of the day.

The hosts are very attentive to your needs. We have stayed here several times as it is convenient to Catawba. The kitchen provides for our needs, and living room is comfortable. We really lack for nothing.

Everything was perfect!

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The location was great with easy access to shopping and restaurants. The house was super clean and had every utensil you would ever need plus a complete spice cabinet. The wifi was over 400mbps download too. We will stay here again when we visit the area. Thanks!

Comfy and cozy cottage in Newton

Visited Newton for Thanksgiving and family that lived in Conover. The cottage was easy to find and just like it stated. My husband, brother and law, and myself were able to hang out, sleep and get ready with ample space and it was also great for our pet with the large outdoor space!! If traveling to Conover/Hickory will definitely stay here again!

Came to visit son and daughter in law with brand new grandson during Christmas. The place was lovely, the backyard was fantastic. Firepit and lots of room to run with dog and older grandson. This house was so cute and so clean! There isn't much to do near the neighborhood, but we were attending a wedding in Maiden and it was a great location to both the wedding and Lake Norman. The house was immaculate ( no exaggeration!) The keyless entry was perfect! Can't say enough about this adorable little house!

Very comfy stay but if you are private people and do not want to be watched during your stay then you might reconsider this property. They have camera on front and back porch plus the neighboring house has cameras on every corner of their home. Felt very uneasy sitting outside to relax knowing that we were being watched and even heard. My husband and I wanted a private time away from family and kids but this felt like we were no TV alone if we wanted to sit anywhere outside.

Very comfortable and cozy. Loved the extras- variety of coffee, special note and muffins. Very soft bath towels and it’s nice to have hooks in the bathrooms. Finally a place with many outlets for all the electronics! Kitchen was stocked with anything you needed and a Walmart just a few minutes away. The access pad to the house was easy to use for entry and lockup. We appreciated our special request was accommodated. Highly recommend.

Wedding Weekend

Our friends and ourselves were attending a wedding at Providence Cotton Mill. This cottage was perfect as a homebase for all the wedding festivities. It is within a half hour of mostly everything we wanted to do. It was very clean and well stocked. The pine flooring was the talk of the weekend. The weather was perfect, so after attending the festivities we ended the day sitting around the fire pit in the backyard. Couldn't have asked for anything better. Hope we get a chance to visit the area again.
