Small rural house, completely renovated, comfortable but unpretentious (registered as furnished 2 stars), with 20 m2 terrace, garden and forest at the door.
Very quiet, in the countryside.
At the center of an organic olive and beekeeping operation. Possibility to visit the family oil mill, the apiary (depending on the work of the owner) and purchase organic products from the farm.

COARAZE (2km) has all the charm of a medieval village in the hinterland of Nice; it is classified among the most beautiful village in France
During the whole month of August, high quality music courses and jazz festival.

Nearby, the big city NICE (22km), MONACO, the seaside resorts of the French Riviera and the Italian Riviera (Italy is 45 minutes by motorway).
Many beaches accessible 40 minutes away.
Possibility of swimming in the river and swimming pool at 6 km.
Numerous interesting medieval sites in the surrounding area and prehistoric sites in Nice and the Vallée des Merveilles, 1.5 hours by car.

Very close mid-mountain hikes and long hikes in the Authion massif and in the Mercantour Park, 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes by car. Ski stations.

Fantastic location in the Alps, with easy reach to Menton, Monaco and other seaside locations. The property provides you with a well-equipped kitchen and terrace on the top level and a lovely double bedroom, living room area, shower room and utility room on the lower level, accessible either via an internal spiral staircase or through the garden. The property is pet friendly and has the garden secured which was ideal for our two dogs, giving them plenty of space to explore. We drove there from UK and despite the narrow roads in some places, our ford C max was ok to reach everywhere we wanted to go.The host, Claude, has been fantastic, providing us with useful information of how to get to the property and what we can see/do around the area. We have been fortunate enough to get to see a bit of their family history, Claude arranging with her brother-in-law to show us the family olive oil mill, where they still produce their own olive oil (Many thanks to Lucien too for showing us around and explaining us the process of producing the oil). Overall we’ve had a fantastic holiday and hopefully we will go back again in the coming years.

Dans une région ou j ai vécu 40 ans un nouveau monde m est apparu avec une impression d être seul au monde au milieu des olivier. Petit bemol:ne pas venir avec un gros véhicule car l accès est difficile mais c est aussi ce qui fait le charme de ce gite. Un grand merci a Claude pour ce sejour..

Highly recommended nature house

It has all been said here in the comments many times: a very pleasant, remote cottage in the beautiful foothills of the Alps, with lots of privacy in the middle of nature, where you only hear birds, donkeys, boars, etc, but still within half an hour of all the hustle and bustle of the Côte d'Azur and Nice, with indeed a somewhat difficult, but even with a low car still passable, access road. This combined with an exceptionally hospitable and discreet host guarantees an unforgettable stay. The photos that are currently on this site are too zoomed in to understand exactly how the cottage is put together. Therefore a brief explanation. You enter on the upper floor via a terrace with outdoor table and chairs and then stand in a spacious dining room/kitchen with all the important kitchen appliances, dining table, buffet, etc. Via a spiral staircase (or via outside because the cottage is built against a hill) you enter the (rather dark but therefore always cool) spacious bedroom with a double bed plus wardrobe and chest of drawers. Adjacent to this is the much brighter living room, with a spacious sofa bed, a sitting area, dresser, flatscreen TV and a wood stove. This room also gives access to the bathroom/toilet and a washing machine room and through two pairs of French doors to the immense garden (olive grove). In short, more beautiful and larger than the photos suggest. Of course, not very luxurious, but that is not what a nature house should be, but it is very complete.

Trés beaux moments en famille dans l"arrière pays niçois, dans cette maison pleine de charme et sans voisins. Avec une pensée pour Minous le chat orange qui a sans le savoir enchanté nos petits déjeuners et nos retours au gite le soir.. Claude merci pour la sortie en mer et le reste. Für Ruhesuchende die perfekte Unterkunft

Uns hat die 1 Woche ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben: das Häuschen erschien uns viel größer als im Inserat dargestellt. Das Schlafzimmer liegt in der unteren Etage und war zum Schlafen bei der Wärme optimal. Die Aussicht ist phänomenal. Claude ist eine ausgesprochen gute Gastgeberin! Zu beachten: WLAN ist nicht vorhanden, ausreichend Mückenschutz mitbringen, unbedingt einen Kleinwagen mieten: für uns war ein Automatik-Hybrid Fahrzeug die beste Wahl (nicht zuletzt wegen der Serpentinen). Fazit: wer eine Ruhe Auszeit sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben (und als Kontrast ist man in 30 Minuten in Nizza). Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Een week in een gezellig, knus huisje

Wat een leuk, gezellig huis van 2 verdiepingen met een terras om van de rust te genieten en waar je ook nog eens onder een afdakje kunt zitten als het regent. Maar het allerleukste is de altijd behulpzame en gastvrije eigenaar Claude, heerlijke jam en bloemen stonden klaar, gaf goed advies en was altijd bereid te helpen of advies te geven. Ondanks onze autopech en af en toe een buitje hebben we dankzij onze charmante gastvrouw een heerlijke week gehad in dit comfortabele huis in een prachtige omgeving. Quelle belle maison confortable de 2 étages avec une terrasse pour profiter du calme et où vous pouvez également vous asseoir sous un toit quand il pleut. Mais la meilleure partie est le propriétaire toujours serviable et hospitalier Claude, de délicieuses confitures et des fleurs étaient prêtes, a donné de bons conseils et était toujours prêt à aider ou à donner des conseils. Malgré notre panne de voiture et les averses occasionnelles, nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans cette maison confortable dans un cadre magnifique grâce à notre charmante hôtesse. Une petite maison mignonne en pleine campagne. Il y a toute qu’il faut. Aussi quelques confitures faites maison qui sont très bonne. Il y avait même quelques dosettes café pour se faire les premières bonnes cafés. La propriétaire très sympathique et explique bien les sortis a faire. Le chemin d’accès pas facile. Entrée étroite pour un Renault Trafic. Pour profiter du calme c’est très bien 😌

Un havre de paix

Vous cherchez un gîte au calme idéalement placé entre mer Méditerranée et Mercantour....ne cherchez pas plus loin il est là .... Franchement çà été un sejour d'une semaine parfait même s'il manquait quelques degrés pour profiter pleinnement de l'extérieure du gîte. Et l'accueil de Claude est juste parfait. Elle a pris le temps de nous expliquer tout ce qui était a faire autour du gîte. Et ses confitures sont justes un regal surtout celle à l'écorce d'orange. Bref je recommande et on y retournera très certainement.

Excellent séjour

Maison isolée au sein des oliviers et en bordure de forêt, c’est ce que nous recherchions car nous étions avec un jeune chien assez indiscipliné. Ce fut idéal. Vieille maison rustique mais tout l’équipement (frigo, fours, cuisinière, douche…) était en parfait état de fonctionnement. Seul petit bémol : le chemin d’accès à la maison est assez difficile. Propriétaire très sympathique et accueillante. En conclusion, ce fut un excellent séjour.
