The hotel was very comfortable, cosy and modern. The room had everything we needed (bar and iron and an ironing board) and staff were very friendly and pleasant. The shower was fantastic and the huge bathroom also had a nice big bath. Bed was large and comfortable.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Greate hotel in quite area, location is so convenient, close to Nice ville train station, Promenade and Old Town, make it easily to explore everything. The room was clean,comfortable with large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was Sooo frendly and attentive. PROS: The room was really great. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and even had a gift for us to celebrate our special occasion. They helped us with our luggage and gave us directions around town which was super helpful. CONS: The bathroom! The bathroom was very spacious but the lighting was so dim! If you are trying to put on makeup or shave its almost impossible. The bathroom was huge but the sinks were so small and there is nowhere to put toiletries, etc. With such a huge bathroom they have space for bigger counters. Also there is only one electric outlet so you have to dry your hair right beside the toilet. (if you have long hair and have to flip it upside down to dry it, you are staring directly at the toilet!). Also the shower is huge but has no door so the water gets all over the floor. The controls for the hand held shower head and the rain spa are on the same temperature gauge but one was much hotter than the other. Also the shower shelves are in the middle of the shower instead of above the taps so we knocked our arms and elbows on these sharp metal shelves numerous times. And finally, there were no recycling bins in the room. The breakfast was subpar to what we have experienced at other French hotels. The selection wasnt very good and when we asked the staff about vegan options they had no idea. Some items were already plated rather than presented on a buffet tray which was strange. The coffee maker was also broken.

the weirdest thing was, we had to buy the water in the room beacuse they had tap water by the reception if you like to drink water. So with your pjs at the middle of the night, they expacting you to go downstairs and get a glass of water!!!! Even the smallest, least luxuries hotels give water in the room for free. or put some tap water in a glass bottle and put it in the room! The receptionist was very nice, she assisted us with restaurant quite nicely.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The breakfast was a highlight✨absolutely delicious, with the chef perfecting omelettes every morning. It truly felt like such a treat to start the day with a meal that good. I needed some clothing pressed for an event, and the front desk recommended a place nearby that had everything done within three hours. The recommendation was spot on, and it worked out perfectly. The front desk service overall was fantastic, and I can’t say enough about how helpful they were. The hotel itself is beautiful and charming, with lots of space and character. The only drawback was the small elevator, but the stairs made it easy to get around, so it wasn’t much of an issue. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service highly recommend.

We stayed at Hotel Gounod for one night in September! It was so pleasant. From the easy check in, clean room, great breakfast in the AM, and its location … we loved it! They even held our bags for us after check out until we were ready to leave Nice. I would definitely recommend!

Wie immer war der Aufenthalt hervorragend. Die Einrichtung der Zimmer ist wunderschön und der Service toll. Schöner Pool des Nachbarhotels, welcher mit genutzt werden kann.Werden im nächsten Jahr wieder hier übernachten.

Locations was good. The hotel is very dark and so was the room which is ok however they didn’t compensate with additional lighting which means seeing anything was very difficult. The service was terrible they do not help with luggage and they have steps leading into the hotel.

Great 3night stay however I do not consider this a hotel, it is a B&B. Very limited communal spaces, no bar, no outside space so had to use sister hotel. Breakfast room very small and did not reflect the atmosphere of the rest of the hotel. All the components of breakfast there but not a real French breakfast!!
