“The Hidden Gem — Honest ReviewThe Hidden Gem has potential, and our host was very nice and accommodating. The location worked well for what we needed, but unfortunately, the property itself was disappointing. The camping trailer is very run down and needs significant updating. Some lights were broken or didn’t work, duct tape was holding part of the bedroom ceiling in place, the bedroom carpet looked dirty, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The electrical outlets were also concerning, as……

“The room was sufficient to our needs. Didn’t realize it was a multi-unit property or that it was on the second floor.”

“Beautiful grounds and cute room with everything I needed.”

“This place was better than the photos. Everything was well planned out and extremely comfortable. The host was very attentive with great information about the area. Would definitely recommend.”

“The place exceeded expectations. Clean, cute space. Roomier than expected. Hot tub was on and at a good temperature. The Main Street with restaurants and bars is literally a 4 minute walk, yet the house feels secluded in a good way. Really enjoyed our stay.”

“Very well described beautiful home. Great communication, beautiful views great hot tub and fire pit area would highly recommend this property for a relaxing vacation.”

“This house is halfway to Cape Cod for us and the perfect stop for cutting our trip in half. But the house is so large and the property so beautiful I wish we could have stayed longer. I would love to stay here again next year!”

“Enjoyed our 2 night stay, everything was clean and worked smoothly. The hot tub and couch were the favorites, also enjoyed the coffee maker very much. Would highly recommended staying here!”

“Good location for sightseeing around the north east and New England”

“This place was magical. Rooms were clean. Same amenities as a hotel. Blow dryer available! Mini fridge and a sheet for blinds if you need. The snow falling in the early morning was the highlight of the cabin stay. Very beautiful! There were two campfires and snores every night from 5-1pm. Very cute! Cabins are about 50-100ft from parking so be prepared to walk in snow after parking your care. You can get closer to a loading zone to load things into and out of cabins if needed though. String……

“Cute little rental. Very friendly host.”

“Cool and unique spot. Great host!”

“Wonderful accommodations right in the heart of Albany! I was in town for a work trip, and this place exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how spotless, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared everything was. The home was beautifully maintained, comfortable, and had everything I needed after long days of meetings and exploring the city. The foam mattress was incredibly comfortable—honestly one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had away from home. The deep soaking……

“Lovely location with a view of the mountains from the deck. Both bedrooms- a master bedroom and a kids room are air conditioned. (The living room and kitchen are cooled with overhead fan)”

“The description is accurate. The room is clean and comfortable and the location is ideal. Earl, the host, responds in a timely manner if you have any questions. I highly recommend this location.”

“The cabin was just what we needed! A gorgeous fall day, trees only visible from the window. The cabin had a comfortable bed, plenty of blanket and a chair. A rocker was on the porch. From this cabin, you turn right from the door and walk straight to the Bessie Woods trail. The common area had everything we needed, clean, comfortable. If you want to relax, this is pretty special!”
