“Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake.”

“The location of King’s Kastle on Salmon Lake is excellent. The lake is wide at that point and offers great views of the sunrise, particularly from the upstairs master bedroom suite. The lake has less development than others where we have stayed in Maine. We enjoyed seeing loons, eagles, and osprey which are abundant. We went in the latter part of August when the kids’ summer camps had closed, which reduced boat traffic. The cottage is roomy and has a long list of amenities. All appliances were……

“The picture you show was the owners 1st property and we could not access the property with my elderly family. When I called the owner, he offered me a second option of another property. That is the property I rated. It was very kind of the owner to accomodate us. It was a lit more driving than we intended but the accommodstions were much better for us.”

“Everything went well with our stay. Alana was timely and helpful in all our communications. The property was clean and exactly as presented in the listing. My wife is handicapped with mobility issues and found getting around was no problem. The only challenge for us was using the TV, since we are not up on the latest technology. We also aren’t familiar with the immediate area which made it harder for us to find alternatives to our planned outside activities on rainy days.”

“Ingham Pond is truly a magical location. The cottage is just as described with everything you need in tip-top shape. Kitchen is one of the best equipped we've seen in a similar property. There is a great grill to use and you are right on this quiet pond where the loudest noise you are likely to hear are the Loons calling. Roger is a great host and he is nearby if you need anything. Would definitely plan to return and have already recommended it to friends.”

“This was just what we needed. The camp was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. The lake is closeby with dock access. We went for the weekend in late May and had perfect weather - the location was nice and quiet and peaceful. The host was great at communication and we felt it was a good value for our money. We would stay here again.”

“Property was as expected. No frills just a small cabin, clean and has everything one would need. Landscaping and some updates needed but not required. A little more “rustic” than I thought but overall it was a good stay.”

“Rustic cabin in a wonderful setting. Built by L.L. Bean when he was a young man, this is an historic cabin with a modern bathroom. We are fishermen and they have great docks available. We love the quiet, peaceful setting of this little cabin in the forest. Great hosts and great get a way. Fishing is good for smallmouth bass and Northern pike in this lake.”

“Roger’s camp is a wonderful way to escape into a world of peace and quiet. Read a book on the dock or sit by the fire at night and watch the moon rise over the lake. Nothing compares to the tranquility of this lakeside paradise. Hope to come again next year.”

“It was the perfect cottage for our first family vacation of 4 (3.5 & 8 months) plus our dog. They graciously dropped off items for infant and toys for our 3.5y/o. The dock was great for our boat rental and some evening cocktails. We can’t wait to visit Webber Pond again”

“We had an amazing stay at the property. It was stocked well with all of the essentials that make a rental house easy to enjoy. (Spices, oil, sugar, ziploc bags, extra toothbrushes, wireless speaker, etc.) We brought our 19’ bass boat and caught a few dozen smallmouth and largemouth bass around the pond. Swimming was easy and fun, with brownie points for the steps with handrail that led down into the water. We saw so many loon families and enjoyed their calls. Thank you for a great visit!”
