Hope you have better luck than us…..
My husband surprised me with a getaway for our 27th anniversary that turned out to be more of an annoyance / pain, and made for not so enjoyable getaway. When we got to the rental unit the place had not been swept or mopped. Hair all over in bathroom including in sink and around toilet. Glitter and pieces of paper/tape on carpet and floor in living area/kitchen. Sand in between the bed sheets. Took pictures and sent to manager and she had someone come to clean told them it was unacceptable. That cleaning took around 3 hours., which I helped. During this time it was discovered the bathtub was clogged so that had to be taken care of. Also was informed they rarely wash the Comforter that is on the beds. (Read the Cleaning protocol, it suggests EVERYTHING is cleaned and disinfected)
Then discovered AC was not working. I gave the Ok for the repair man to contact me to coordinate a repair time. However, This took him coming a few times and it ended up the whole unit needed to be replaced. After it was replaced the unit still did not cool properly. This took several calls and coordinating to try and get things back in order. Huge thank you to Jim for trying his best!!
Never was a partial refund offered for our troubles… which would have been appreciated due to us taking time out of our vacation to coordinate and deal with. Jim was trying to make things right by getting us a breakfast buffet. Which we appreciated but declined due to being uncomfortable with COVID guidelines in effect.
I recommend the manager figure out the AC issue before renting this unit again.
My husband sent messages to the manager through VRBO and never received anything back.
