Took the Amtrack from Greensboro, NC, to NOLA -- a 21hr trip that was an EXCELLENT way to start the celebration (reserve to be in the sleeper cars for a lengthy trip) -- We arrived late in the evening and once We received the code, this was a great home away from home. “The pictures of the place look cute. When we got there we were horrified! My family and I arrived to the property, and discovered the 3rd "bedroom" was a refinished garage without heat! It was 40 degrees that night. We also found mouse dropping in a different bedroom. We travel with pets so we had no other choice but to stay the night. We didn't arrive until after 9pm. When we woke the next morning there were cockroaches in the kitchen. We called the owner right away. He knew about the roaches……

“Great stay in Thibodaux for Christmas to visit family. The home is older and rustic, with lots of character and many original features. We looked it up and found it to be built in 1908. It was VERY clean, nicely decorated and filled with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of extra towels and bedding. This home sleeps 6 comfortably, it has a large living room with Wifi and many choices for tv viewing but who needs T.V. when you have a great outdoor space, views of the water from several rooms of the house, a boat slip and dock on the beautiful Diversion Canal in Saint Amant, Louisiana.
