"So, this is a somewhat unusual hotel in that there were effectively no visible staff during my entire stay. Access to the building and to my room was via a pin code sent me (it came through Expedia’s message system and since the email notifications connected to it get mostly filtered into spam by gmail, I had a moment of panic while driving to Akureyri that I would arrive in the wee hours of the morning and not be able to access a room I paid for, but fortunately, that was not an issue.
I didn’t get the breakfast either of the two mornings that I was there, so I can’t comment on that. The room was the nicest of all the rooms I stayed in while in Iceland and the in-room television supports Airplay so I was able to do things like watch streaming videos or play music from my phone to it which was nice.
The one lack I would point at would be that the rooms have fridges but not microwaves, so don’t expect to make yourself a hot meal in your room, but otherwise, it was a great place to stay and should I ever return to Akureyri, I will definitely stay here again."
