“Lights in the room were inoperable, stains on the sheets. Unable to control the temperature, was freezing cold. Maintenance had to bring a portable heater. The first one quit working shortly after the maintenance man left, he had to bring a second one. The upholstery on the arm chair was disintegrating. The dock around the pool is chipping away. I asked the manager for some sort of compensation, but he insisted there was nothing he could do. I have stayed at this property many times, but this……

“TERRIBLE experience. First the elevator was smelly and stained. The room was moldy and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was missing, towel racks pulled out of the wall and the TV didn’t work. They moved us to another room which was a little better but still the TV didn’t work and they said maintenance was only there Monday through Friday (hotels are 24/7 365) so that was unacceptable. Finally I told them we wanted a refund and we were not staying. The man at the desk (via ring doorbell)……

“We had a great stay at this property in March/April 2026 with our elementary aged kids and dog. The neighborhood is nice and quiet but conveniently located to hop on the interstate to the zoo or downtown. Also we found plenty of restaurants and stores nearby and enjoyed Prehistoric Putt. The house is nice and very spacious, and the kitchen is quite well-appointed. We appreciated the 2 separate living spaces in the living room and basement.
