Nestled in the charming seaside village of Happisburgh, this period cottage offers a quintessential getaway with family or friends, combining character, comfort, and coastal charm. The stunning sandy beach provides the perfect base for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. The nearby lighthouse stands proudly as a landmark. Once you’ve marvelled at the lighthouse, enjoyed the children’s play park, a pedestrian ramp leads down onto the excellent sandy beach.
The famous Norfolk Boards are also very close at hand to enjoy boat trips and water sports including sailing, kayaking and paddleboarding.
Happisburgh beach is a quieter beach, here you can almost enjoy it all to yourself. Miles of excellent walking can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Enjoy a stroll to the beach, and the village pub, using the local footpaths leading across the fields. Happisburgh beach has no restrictions, which is also great for dog lovers. Enjoy a leisurely walk onto Carp Gap, but don’t forget to call at cafe Small Sticks, well known and a popular refuelling station, or walk in the opposite direction onto Sea Palling, a popular seaside village with amusement arcade, café, fish and chips and doughnuts.
The cottage itself is brimming with character and features exposed beams (some of which are very low!), low doorways, and a wood burner, making it a warm and inviting retreat all year round. The interior is thoughtfully designed with spacious rooms and a well-equipped kitchen, ensuring that everything you need for a relaxing stay is at your fingertips. Outside, the property boasts a very large lawn garden that overlooks the neighbouring countryside fields, offering tranquil views and a sense of privacy. While the garden is hedge-enclosed, it is not fully enclosed, yet safe for children and dogs to play, with the added bonus of a football net for extra outdoor fun.

Stalham is 3 miles for supermarket, shops, cafes, takeaways, and pub. Bacton Woods is a 13 minutes’ drive, ideal for cycling, walking and woodland picnics. Bird watching, golf and fishing all available locally. For shopaholics head to the city of Norwich, with two indoor shopping malls, high street, market square, cathedral, castle museums, theatres, cinemas, bowling, escape rooms, and plenty of eateries to suit all tastes and budgets.
