Casa Familia is located near a dead end road across the street from a protected area. Monkeys, birds, and other wildlife can be seen and heard near the house.

Casa Familia is a 2 bed and 2 bath layout with a loft space. The master bedroom has a King bed, a private bathroom and a large walk-in closet; The second bedroom has a queen bed and a separate bathroom; The loft has 2 single beds, ideal for children 8+.

There is a/c in both bedrooms and in the living area.

The kitchen is fully equipped, except for the lack of oven. An outdoor table and chairs, are set on the terrace for your meal. Also a huge couch to relax near the pool.

The house has wireless internet and is secured by bars on all doors and windows. There is also a safe for your valuables.

Casa Familia is situated on the road to la Luna with a short walk to the beach in Pelada and North Guiones. The neighborhood is thriving and active with great restaurants including the famous la Luna. All a short walk away.

Activities within a 5-minute drive or less are: river tour, horseback riding, canopy tour, surf, biological reserve, botanical tour, kayaking. Beach activities are at your doorstep.

LOCAL QUIRKS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THIS AREA OF COSTA RICA

While the infrastructure in Costa Rica is improving, it is highly likely that you will experience dust, bugs, mold, power, water and internet outages at some point during your stay. We consider it part of the fun of experiencing another country and culture. All of these issues are beyond the control of the homeowner and the management company and may come without advance notice. If having internet access is imperative during your visit, we recommend you research internet data plans available to you through your cellular provider. The Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada and surrounding areas of Nosara are rapidly growing communities. As such, much of the area will have noise from construction typically between the hours of 6am and 5pm. We do our best to update our properties impacted by construction, however, we are not always provided advance notice of a project. The septic system in the Nosara area does not permit flushing of toilet paper with few exceptions. If you have any questions at all, please contact us in advance of booking your stay as refunds and concessions will not be given for any of the reasons above as they are beyond the control of the homeowner and property manager. Beautiful

Beautiful home, well appointed,the pool and outdoor lounge area are perfect, the A/C works great too!It is a little tricky to find and not easy walking to beach. There are some restaurants nearby but they are also a little walk. Hosts are very easy to chat with and responsive.

Nice place to hang you sobero

Nice home with an accurate description. It was a bit more buggy than I was expecting for a rental but then again you are in Costa Rica. That being said bring bug spray for the mosquitos and do plan on seeing large and small ants pretty much everywhere in the house. The doors are like fort nocks but they are not sealed tight on the bottom so no matter what there will be critters coming in. We had a great time but it is not for the fait of heart.

Family gathering

Loved the rental. Shaded and cool pool were appreciated in heat of the day. Overall we loved it. Trek to beach was further than indicated. Water situation was unfortunate but we understood it was all off Nosara.

Beautiful Spot

Casa Familia is an amazing house! Extremely comfortable and the pool is amazing. Whenever we had a question or needed a recommendation the response was very quick and helpful. We did have a hard time finding the place in the dark as the pin on the map didn’t seem to be in the right place and having a light on would be helpful. All in all would highly recommend and we would absolutely come back!

2 weeks at casa familia

We certainly enjoyed our time at Casa Familia. We enjoyed the wonderful weather and sitting/soaking in the pool. The property manager was very responsive to our concerns about the coffee maker and microwave and they were replaced the same day. Thank you. We enjoyed all the nearby beaches which were all an easy drive, as were the great restaurants, particularly la luna and pepperoni. But they are certainly not within walking distance for four 75+ year olds. We had trouble finding the place initially. Perhaps because we are technologically challenged? We got very close but …. It would have helped if there was a sign on the “main road” and the name casa familia was written outside the property, perhaps beside the address on the back of the pool shower. You should also know there is an active construction site just across the road and they start work early 6 days a week.

Perfect Location

Great location to walk to Pelada beach, through trail to Guionnes and several restaurants and stores. Fantastic jungly property and pool area. Highly recommend! We would go back next time.

NO Longer Private & Secluded!!

I booked this place because of the outdoor space. We wanted private, secluded and QUIET...it was not. No longer a dead end, all the jungle that must have surrounded the property is now GONE. Massive houses are being built. Saws, music, hammering, talking all day long because of construction. Claudia (manager) seemed put out from our first meeting like we were bothering her at check-in. We didn't complain because what could she do about the construction. We had no hot water!! And we didn't want more inconvenience of a maintenance person so we checked out early! I was told the owner would refund 1 night but it's days later, and I haven't seen any type of confirmation of this. So much for a romantic 30th wedding anniversary.

We checked in, and the place was absolutely spotless. Claudia met us there and was great at letting us know about the property. Short walk/cart ride to Pelada, and about a mile from Guiones but still close. A/C worked very well, pool was clean and the home was well maintained. Thanks!

A perfect little house for a Nosara adventure

My wife and I and two friends rented this house for a week, and it provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The house is beautiful, and there are AC units strategically placed where you need them. And the pool and patio are amazing. It's a short walk to the beach and some local restaurants. The tall trees overhead provide great howler monkey watching opportunities. And the house manager Claudia was super helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our time and would absolutely recommend others to do the same.

Nice house by Playa Pelada

We walked to beautiful Playa Pelada to swim and watch the sunsets, and to Playa Guioness to surf and drink amazing margaritas from Chivos. We spent time on the large patio, cooking meals and eating outside. Nights were a little noisy with howler monkeys and barking dogs, but we enjoyed watching the monkeys swinging in the trees. Nosara is a very active surfing town and we prefer something a little quieter but we enjoyed our stay.

This is a comfortable house located in a quiet section of town. It's a short walk to three restaurants and just a bit down the beach from the Iguana, where we rented boards. Overall, a good experience.

Perfectly cozy spot close to the beach in Pelada

Super close to the beach, La Luna, La Bodega, and more. Has AC units in bedrooms and living room. Outdoor covered dining area and lounge next to pool. Outdoor shower is nice to rinse off after beach! Plenty of towels were available for us to use. Very clean and well maintained. Secluded, but also close-by. We loved our stay here and would return!

Excellent Stay

Off the beaten trail of Nosara. The house was as described. Secluded with only a 7-10 minute walk to Playa Pelada. The house was comfortable with plenty of towels for both shower and beach. Claudia was attentive, responsive and excellent. Would reccommend this property.

Felt like home to us

This was our 1st time staying in Pelada & we loved it. 3/4 of a mile through the jungle to the beaches of Guiones for surf, less than that on the road to Il Pepperoni or El Chivo for dinner and close to fresh fish market. We’d surf in the morning, come home for lunch and cool off in the pool, then return for a sunset surf session. The only thing we missed was not having a grill to cook the fish on. Hint, hint. Thanks for a great vacation Casa Familia, we’re already planning our return!! -The McCrackens

Perfect Home Away from Home in Paradise

This home has it all. Perfect location, secluded and private yet close to the beach. Beautiful pool, outdoor shower and outside living area. Beautiful master bedroom and bathroom. Extremely comfortable beds, pillows and linens. Everything you need in the kitchen to cook meals. Owner is very responsive and available. Our family has stayed in many homes throughout Costa Rica for many years and this home was by far the best and offered at a very fair price. Book this home for your travels to paradise. You will not be disappointed.

Great House, great location

This is a great home in a quiet location, off the dusty roads of Nosara. Walking distance to the Playa Pelada and a few restaurants. We do prefer to stay outside of the main Guiones area, so this location was perfect for us. We cooked several meals in the home and the kitchen was well-appointed and had everything for our needs. We would have our morning coffee and breakfast outside. The outdoor space was well groomed; with the breeze through the trees and the monkeys and birds coming by, it was lovely. There was a barrio dog that would come by and say hi, too. We didn't need AC much. I would use it in the master bedroom for about 5 minutes to bring the temp down at the end of the day, then the ceiling fan was plenty through the night. Never needed the AC in the living room. The beds were comfortable and we were supplied with more than enough towels. Wifi was a little slow, but it was completely adequate for our needs. Virginie was responsive and easy to get a hold of. We have stayed in several homes in the Nosara area over the years. We were not disappointed in this home. I would stay here again.
